Vix, its not that i think you like the other gals better, its just that we use moomie to ask what others are going through at that moment with their kiddies , so you are bound to also want to ask other moms with multiples, other moms with newborns, and other moms with ALL boys, what their experience is but very glad that you still WANT to ask our crowd, thats just how i felt with the ttc thang..

Vix - at our last meet at pappachinos, I didnt get to "skinner" with you ( which i missed), but I did have fun with Ally and Helen and Pfairy, and a little with Z coz she was with me at the pizza place,

Im hoping you wont make too much of the last meet as being significantly not your favourite, as we all have down days and sometimes miss that connection, and of course, we also didnt have our exciteable and interesting Nel there to spice things up!

One thing that i can say that has changed for you vix, is that you no longer have "extra time to fill" you and even I used to RUSH to just feel a connection with other ladies, but its very true that your time spent away from home now is EXTREMELY valueable as you dont get a lot of down time as you say, but you also know that you are the only completely familiar one to handle the twins so to leave them is stressful, so when you dont have the BEST TIME, Im sure you wandered why you went through all the stress of preparing and getting babysitters and leaving some of the kids, to not feel that you had an awesome time..

Anyhoooooo as you can see, its all of us rushing to get to the bottom of this with you because we do really care Perhaps we need to throw in some WINE next time and really have a good giggle as I am feeling more and more like that is what i need!!!!!!!!

Simone you are right and i also tend to do quick updates etc, but i try and post a reply to everyone but most of the time i end up speed reading and then forget . But i do love having this place to come to chat and ask advice on things

Simone lol at Addy asking for chips instead of chocolate, K is definatly his mum's boy and looooooves chocolate way to much. I really cannot wait to hear the news once you have taken your hpt FX for you. xxx

Lisha sorry you sick to (also have the bloody) flu, hope Shrey cough get better, did the cough mixture you order not help? How has you back and neck been lately? I really sympathise now with you when i get those pains, its really terrible and makes one really miserable.

Helen i hope the advice the ENT provided for Nina works!!! and those nasty ear infections come to a stop. Its amazing what allergies can do! Enjoy your mini weekend away. So sorry to hear about Olivers bad dreams, these kids really do have wild imaginations now. The other night K was crying in his sleep and kept trying to hit me shouting naughty........

aaaaah, Vix I hear you, I also was a bit disappointed with the meet, its just too difficult to chat properly with anyone in a restaurant, somewhere like Pappachinos is great when its just you and hubby or you and another friend but when there's a handful of us trying to keep tabs on little tykes running around as well its almost impossible to have a decent chat. Its almost impossible to have a decent chat with anyone anywhere when you have a 2 year old to be honest but at least when you're at someone's house there's far more control. Its also easier when hubby is there as well because they can take over kiddy watching lol.

I don't think we are necessarily drifting apart but as all the other ladies say, life is pretty busy for most of us these days and I for one don't have the time to post and then when I do find myself with a spare few minutes I usually take a breather from everything instead of chatting on here, before I would have used that time to chat but now having two LOs I'm way more tired so time out is precious and I need it to reboot whereas when it was just Oliver I could still manage. I think its also because our kids are growing up, as Ally says there are no more 'first steps' etc with our toddlers and there's not as much trying to figure out what the problems are because they can tell us and then those of us who are busy with no2 (or in your case tweenies ) have been there and done that so we don't need as much advice etc?

I'm still keen to get together for a braai (or bbq - but its only a barbecue if its sausages and burgers LOL!!) and I know Theo would appreciate some time in male company as well so we could always arrange it for a Saturday if you guys are up for it?

Its obviously change of season affecting all of us, I have a horrid cold, so does Nina and Oliver is getting over one, not fun. At least I can dose myself up this time round, last time I had a cold I was pregnant

Took Nina to the ENT on Tuesday. No answers really, she's given me a whole load of things to try and see if we can keep the ear infections away, basically treating her for dustmite allergies (don't even want to go into how much more housework that means for me ), trying to keep her as upright as possible for feeds (which I have done anyway), no gluten or dairy, and treating her with Flixonase blah blah blah. Then if she gets another ear infection then I have to take her back to her and we'll probably have to look at grommets but she'd really prefer not to go that route if we can avoid it...now we watch this space and keep FX...

Ally - Glad you had a good day with your in-laws and you must be so pleased your manuscript is coming along so well

Nicole - Lol at helping K through his chocolate stash hehehe! I find it very tempting to help Oliver out but I have been very reserved so far, whenever I let him have some I do insist that he give a piece to everyone though He even gives some to Nina but obviously she can't eat it yet, that's my job hehehe.

PFairy - It was lovely to meet you, Mia is a little sweetie I can remember gettin the mumps as a kid and it was awful so I wish Xander a speedy recovery.

Nelria- Glad you're settling in, sorry both kiddies have been sick, it sucks when they come down with it over a weekend. Hope Xen is learning to stay away from the walls!!!!!

Mandy - WRT to Oliver and his nightime wakings, sometimes it is because he's got cold but that's usually because he's kicked the blankets off, when he wakes in the middle of the night cold he covers himself and goes back to sleep but when its in the early hours say after 4.30am then he often comes to my bed and wants to climb in to get warm and I usually let him cos I can't be bothered to argue then (if its earlier I take him back to his room and settle him back in his own bed) but its also definitely a very active imagination that's bothering. He woke up 10.30pm Sunday night absolutely hysterical crying his eyes out and beside himself and he kept going on about a 'kakak' which I think is crocdile but I couldn't make any sense of him because he was so hysterical so he'd obviously had a nightmare of some kind but he was kind of not asleep but not awake either. Have you looked in BabyCity for some kind of nightlite for Cam? Could you not use one of those that just plug into the plug? And then secondly am I understanding right that you have a sleep suit for Cam? As in a big boys babygro so to speak? If so pleeeeeease tell me where you got it? I've been looking for one for Oliver and I can only find some in the UK which isn't much help

OK I have to get back to work, we're only going away on Friday now and coming back Sunday so not really much of a getaway, its a long story and too complicated to go into but basically the boss (who's wedding we're going to) was a complete d!ck and said at the last minute we have to work today and tomorrow *insert red face with ears steaming*

Thanks Vix for making all the ladies so chatty:-) Unfortunately I cant comment on meets as mine are far and few between...realising miss k and I havent seen each other since last year November for Saarah's birthday, but we are in contact daily.

Vix I felt that we were for a time talking past each other....everybody updates on themselves and barely reads what the next person has said. (I am not pointing fingers and am guilty of this myself)....so I felt that a real interest in each other seems to be gone...not everybody and every post, but some times...but I guess that has to do with everybody's busyness.

But then....as Julz says...the fact that we have something to say every single day (those of us who post daily) is AMAZING! As i speak to my 'closest' friend maybe once a month (maybe that friendship is in trouble...lol).

We do also not have that much to say on here because, as mandy mentions, we email, FB, BBM each other.

I personally am so tired over weekends that I really dont even want to go to my friend's weddings or parties (and I only have ONE kid).....so I understand you saying that you arent over joyed at jumping into the car for a meet.

Anyways....good that you're being honest....I think we'll all think a bit more about how we post (are we merely going with the motion, or are we genuinely interested in each other and chatting), making an effort to commit to meets (need to set one up with miss k on my side).

Okay...sorry ladies, have still not done HPT. its pissing with rain here, pharmacy is across the road, but no ways am I making a run for it! No idea when i'll actually be able to grab a test.

Mandy I think I took about 3-4 tests alone when I had that 60 day cycle!! lol. Plus a darn blood test

I dont literally mean 15 tests, but it sure feels like it. Remember I always have long cycles...so when it gets to day 31-33....I'm like...yay lets test! Eish...all the BFN's!!!!!!!

Julz sorry you're sick too. I really wished that after paying R500 for antibiotics two months ago that I wouldn't get sick but with all Shrey's kisses etc guess I couldn't avoid it.

Vix re excitement of meets you know I cannot relate lol. Otherwise I also think people can even outgrow their best friends as each persons lives and circumstances change. It's hard not to be caught up in one's own life and family. I appreciate that you're being honest about how you feel about the meets and maybe when all 3 kids are 'less' demanding you'll start to feel a bit more excitement about meeting the ladies again!!!

O.k firstly I'm gonna say this, I am NOT outgrowing anyone, I just threw those comments out there because clearly I am the only one who can sense a drift. Maybe I just rambled on too much but seriously has no one else lost the excitement of meeting up? Am I the only one who thinks oh well suppose we should have another meet sometime? I mean the CT crowd seem to organise a meet every month - 6w and it only ever seems to be Julz and Lelani who turn up? Forgive me if I'm wrong, just seemed that way recently. If I had the spare cash I would be jumping on a plane to join the meet in CT but I didn't feel that I enjoyed our meet here. Seems odd to me, maybe we're getting too used to one another?I do agree yes I suppose we all converse so much on FB and BBM that maybe e don't have so much to chat about here.

I do think maybe I just don't have the energy to be so excited anymore, I used to climb in the car and drive anywhere to meet anyone but it's not that easy anymore so I'm not so over joyed at the oidea of a meet esoecially in public places.

I do just want to say though, yes I did make some good friends on my other thread but for those of you who follow it (mandy I know you said before you go there to read) will noticve I don't post there anywhere near as much as here and I don't ask them my baby questions, I rather ask you gals, so please don't think I have more in common with the other ladies, it's not like I've deserted you for them or I have "more in common" with them, actually I have more in common with you gals as moast of us were first time moms together.

PFairy- I hope Xander gets better soon and Mia doesn't catch it! He wasn' there long enough to come into contact with anyone so don't stress. I am so dreading the teenage years!

ally glad the cooking went well. I agree. Our kids have reached most of their milestones so not that much to share anymore and lets face it what would you say to your good friend on a daily basis. We are actually amazing that we can chat daily.

It seems Dylan has given me the flu which is hanging around way too long so I might pop into the doc's office. I think I have given it back to Dylan although he has no fever this morning, just a blocked nose so off to school. THANKFULLY!!!
