I think I had better check the forcast for Saturday. We have just hired a jumping castle for the older kids and then I am going to just do the basics.

We always over cater and so this year we are going to take it easy. We are having an afterparty for parents that wish to stay on.

I am so excited. Dylan's daymom chatted to me this morning and we have agreed not to say goodbye to each other on the last day. It will be far too hard. Dylan started when he was 4 months and was the only baby for ages and they really adore him. anyway V said that they are busy putting together all his art work for me. I had no idea he has been doing so much so I am so excited. Can you imagine getting a whole years work in one go. We are so clueless as to what he does at school so this is like a peek into his little life there.

Well firstly Vix, worrying about you my friend, hope you start feeling better and that the tweenies hang out in your tummy a little longer! Sorry about your mom, as you say, you love her, but that doesnt mean you always like her!

Helen - good luck for tomorrow evening.. Ive been thinking about you! Just remember, I am a phone call away and if you ever need anything brought to or fetch from home or hospital, i volunteer willingly!

Julz - cameron has only had the one trial swimming class but they did not make him put his head underwater yet! our class is half an hour and its also with the teacher not with the parent. Cam has to swim with her and kick and throw and fetch toys with her and swim on the noodle, and she taught him to climb into the pool backward before she would allow him to JUMP into her arms off the edge which he loved! so we are definately starting on the 10th jan again! its wonderful to watch them learn so fast from the sidelines!

Ally - cant wait for your party

Cams party - was awesome! Cam slept well before the party so was in a very good mood. He ran around waving at us and calling the pther parent from wherever he was all the time. We over catered but i reckon you can only tell in retrospect! Parents just run around after kids so much that they dont really have a chance to eat! Ally - one recommendation is having big jugs of water ( i added mint and lemon and LOTS of ice ) it was so hot and that worked well. They hardly drank the sodas and not much tea and coffee either. I also chilled watermelon slices and offered them around the crowd mid party and lots of people had that. Can you believe the jelly and custards on the kiddles table were like water! it was soooooooooo hot! Everyone shared suncream etc, and I left packs of wetwipes around for everyone to use which they did. I also felt that the oros juice bottles were useful! Ive always found that the kids party tables are wet due to kids spilling cooldrink all the time! Another tip - if you are having kiddies chairs around the kiddies tables rather dont put too many chairs close together, space them out so that the kids can get inbetween them to to the table otherwise they dont eat. Also, we only had 10 helium balloons for decor and used lots of balloons on sticks which the kids played with for AGES so that they didnt keep loosing them to the sky! Cameron LOVED the horsy! and the swings the most and smacking people with his balloons!

Anyhoo - lots of parties this week end gals - Julz, Ally and Nicole I think?? so good luck and have fun! PS remember to try to find time to take photos before everything gets messed up ( which i didnt find the time to do ! ) I didnt nearly get enough photos, but some friends took loads, and so Im still waiting for them..

Zee and Christi - thanks for the gifts ! They are wonderful! Zee - you spoilt cam , thanks, Ive been reading them to him at night already and Christi - your tool kit on a trolley is an absolute HIT, he has balanced a fantastic old macdonald singing tractor and trailor onto the top of the trolley and pushes them around the house hammering the tractor!! hee heee! its a real sight, I will try to take photos!

Okay, I’m off, just wants to share this with you. I read Snow white to Z this evening and she stopped at the picture of Snow white as a baby and wanted to pick her up. Saying ‘op op’ the entire time, I laughed so much and she wants the moon to pick her up! She also talks to people on the telly as if they can hear her and respond. So cute!

Hey Julz, really nice that the creche is so accommodating ... I may have to take Z with me to work a day or two in Jan because DH will definitely not be able to take leave. But I still have a few people that I will ask first ... Hopefully I'll find a fantastic baby sitter.

Zee the new creche only closes on Xmas day which is so wonderful. Last year Neil and I had to take separate leave to cover the daycare holiday and for me two weeks is most of it so we decided then to move him at the end of this year.

Not much news here, thanks for all the advice ... Still thinking about it. But maybe the day mother is not so keen on having Z there another year anymore because apparently my child wreaked havoc today. She threw spectacular tantrums and was extremely niggly, I was actually (and honestly) terrified of coming home but she wasn't that bad this evening. Just hope she's not coming down with something.

Julz, I hope Dylan will adapt to the new place well, when is the creche opening? Z's daymother can only look after her until the 10th of Dec and the new creche is only opening on the 10th of Jan ... the daymother will also only reopen on the 1oth ... I don't know what I'm going to do because I can't take so many leave days.

Christi, sorry about the break in and your bosses' attitude! Do you have insurance?

Vix I have IC which feels like a uti but isn't . I just pop over to my nearest medicross and ask them to do a urine test. Maybe you should consider it. It gives them a print out and would check for protein too. Just to give you peace of mind. x

Lisha- Shame I hope you manage to get your mum's room finished. Will be nice for you to have her around so close. What does DH say about your mum moving in? Do they get on well?
