Hi ladies

We had an okay night. Woke up at 4 with dylan wanting his book!!!! He sat in the dark in the passage crying book, book so I went to the loo and he followed and then I put him in bed with us and said it is dark outside and we must sleep more. It took him a while to settle but he did.

As far as teeth brushing goes we do it twice a day. In the morning I stand him on the bath and he brushes. I won that hamper which contained an awesome gel called x gel. It is flouride free so and contains xylitol which is great. You just put some on the toothbrush and as long as it coats the teeth then great. www.teethforlife.co.za

Just another thing about teeth brushing. You should wait 30 minutes after you have eaten before brushing your teeth as the brushing could cause harm. The saliva needs to first change the ph balance that the food has disrupted then it is safe.

Nelria we brush Addy's teeth once a day. She 'brushes/sucks' and then we say: okay let mummy brush once...then she lets me and runs away. We make a game of it and everybody in the family gets to brush a section of her mouth! lol

Pfairy i am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family. I lost my grandfather January last year and it was terrible also kept thinking of his smile and the silly things he use to say. ((hugs)) Mia is to precious for words!! Such a rock funky looking girl

Nelri glad you were able write your exam!! and that they tummy bug has cleared up. wrt brushing teeth, we got a little stool which K stands on and then looks at himself in bathroom mirror and i brush my teeth with him and we pull funny faces etc in the mirror to encourage him and to make it fun.

afm we had a good weekend. Friday night DH and I shared a bottle of wine, listened to music etc. Unfortuntently we had CRAP weather so had to keep K indoors 80% of the time so we resorted to all types of activities to keep him happy and entertained lol.

Lisha, so sorry about Shrey's bump! These kids are getting so rough. You should see Aidan's legs. Scrapes, bruises, scabs...it's terrible.

Nelria, the twins brush their teeth when they bath. We still brush for them and then they take the toothbrushes and "brush" themselves. I also actually want to get them to brush their teeth after dinner but they bath just before dinner so I guess twice in 1 hour is a bit hectic lol.

Zee hope Ziani is doing okay after her bump and fall. The ladies are right that it's best to keep an eye on her. My friends lg had fracture a couple months back after falling out of trolley and x-ray didn't pick it up, only CT scan did.

Vix sorry you're in so much pain. Hope you manage to find time to keep those legs up. Hopefully your mum can visit more often so that you can have a break.

AFM had a tiring weekend again. Had sil's bridal shower at home on Saturday afternoon. I had about 3 Cosmopolitan's - was sooo nice to feel a bit of a buzz after so long Sil & my sister helped do the major cleaning before they left. Yesterday I just did final cleanup's while dh played golf. Shrey was good for mummy the whole time.
When dh got home I wanted to have a short nap because I had a headache - I wasn't on the bed for 5 mins and I hear a heavy thud and Shrey started howling. They were play wrestling on the floor and he missed dh and hit his face on the carpet. Cut his lip on the inside pretty badly - very bruised still this morning but only on the inside - the outside is just a little swollen. He got over it quickly but is putting his hand in his mouth all the time now

Oh yes Nelria, Shrey brushes twice a day - should I say we brush his teeth for him. He does miss occassionally but I try to be strict about brushing before bedtime. He eats a sweet everyday so rather not tempt any further damage.

brett is worried as lea neglects it and he is worried about teeth

oh and then tips for potty trainers if u sprinkle some eno's in bottom of potty then show them the fizzing when wet great motivator - think more for standing boys but iam willing to try it with lea too as she really wases time sitting for hours reading a book on it then gets up and proceeds to pee in bath - better on toilet but only if poop as she feels it when on its way recon dec will be the time to do it with her home all day and it being warm i will get gazebo and just camp outside with her all day with no clothes and squatiing i am sure she will eventually get it - HOPEFULLY
