Just want to pop in & say HI!!

Things my side are still busy - work, home, work, home! The thing is I can barely concentrate at work! I better start getting my ass into gear!

Hello ladies,

Just a quick pop in as I have masses of things to do, will try catch up properly tomorrow. Had a bit of a hectic day (and night), Oliver was awake from 2-4am again (2nd or 3rd time this week), wasn't sure what the problem was, I assumed it was because he'd gotten cold again as he is permanently kicking off the blankets. He's still struggling with a runny nose and a bit of a cough so I thought it might be something to do with that as well.

He was right as rain all morning until it came to nap time, he just couldn't settle and then eventually he fell asleep only to wake 10mins later crying his eyes out, so unusual for him, he likes his sleep! I asked him where is it sore and he pulled at his ear so I figured time to get him to the doc, I'd been contemplating it anyway as the cold doesn't seem to have subsided much. I'm always nervous of rushing to the doc because he never has a temperature and he's been eating fine. Anyways, good job I did take him, poor little man has ear infection in both ears and tonsillitis, probably from all the gunk building up with the cold, how he's managed to be so chippo is beyond me. A course of antibiotics and some Flemex and hopefully he'll be feeling better...then hopefully I can get some more sleep as well!

I can't believe how quickly time is ticking now, two and a bit weeks til mum arrives, man oh man I can't wait for her to be here just to have an extra pair of hands to help out is going to be amazing. Theo is somewhat inept in the kitchen so it'll be nice to have someone else cook for a change, not to mention just having her here and enjoying her company.

Then it's Oliver's birthday, then Theo's birthday, then baby arriving. November is going to be one busy month, I think I'd best get my butt into gear and start getting organised for this baby now!!

Will start the catch up now and check in tomorrow

Vix, I really wished you were near Klerksdorp. My doctor is so great with 4D scan. Although he is just a GP, he is one of the best doctors with the 4D scans. A lot of doctors contact him with questions, etc regarding the scans. His interpretation is always spot on. With every visit, he did a scan for me and he is really amazing with it.
Nicole, your date sounds so cool. I need a date night.
Lwasi, what are you doing in Pakistan? I missed that!!!!!!

Julz, wow for granny turning 86. You are privileged to still have a grandma. My grandpa is now 88, but I’ve heard he is not doing well at this moment.
It is amazing how they pick up word. I started to really focus on Mia’s words and was amazed. She was actually saying words. And then of course she is really clever: she can speak Chinese. We can’t understand her, but she is speaking full sentences.
Yoza, glad the 2 are feeling better. Not nice when they are sick.
Simone, that many children again? Nice man. It will be nice memories. Wow, Simone, your technique on sharing is good – I will try it.

Angie, sounds like a great weekend.
Mia woke up twice and crying. Don’t know why she do that. Since we came back, she wakes up and crying during the night. She never did that before we went away. Wonder if she thinks we went away again. I don’t know.
We went to a golf club yesterday for lunch. Nice lunch. So next week hubby and Xander will hit a few balls. Dad and son date.
I’ve got news…. You are the first to know…. Hubby got the work in Tanzania. Still waiting for the offer letter. I am not sure how I feel at this moment about it. I think it will be great for him. New job, new challenges. But then I will have to resign. Which won’t be that bad. I will be there for Xander next year when he gets homework, etc to do. I hope I will be able to cope raising 2 children on my own. I am really scared about that.

vix - spoket to my sil her twins were conceived 4 days apart at birth the one weighed 1.8 the other 2.4 then they stayed 7 days and 2 days in icu born at 38 wks she liked taking one home then the other gave her time to bond and adjust

I myself liked icu could sleep and rest etc anyhoe what will happen will happen my friend

vix - i too had the crappiest 3d with xen noimage whatsoever not even foot or hand after going back 3x grrrrrrrrrrrr

i am feeling crap ladies just going to eat and off to bed as xen was up 4x then up at 4 it sucked felt so draied today and now headache etc.

I'm not a big U2 fan but omw my brother and uncle would go CRAZY!!!

I am so hungry and can't wait for dinner. I'm making home-made spicy, crispy chicken burgers with homemade mayo and sweet potato chips...

I went to the last U2 concert and it was brilliant ,but we have a rule now. Golden circle or nothing. less cramped and no queue.
