Hi ladies

Yoza asked me to let you all know that moomie is blocked at work. She will let us know how Siba's assessment is on Friday though.

She says Siba is walking lots and looks like a penguin when he walks;-) Buhle kept her up last nights....so she's overdosing on caffeine.

Julz glad you got some tips. hope they work with Dylan.

Lisha you need to get your back seen to. You dont want to wait til it becomes so bad and u are bed ridden like I was for 3 weeks with a slipped disc! OUCH! lol at your MIL and her 'Dory' memory!

Had to take Gerard back to doc yesterday as he was not breathing well, chest heavy. All the way home I was in tears imagining he was having a heart attack as my dad had similar symptoms.

Luckily all is well. Still phlegm lingering from chest infection in his lung or something like that. He is on additional cortisone and asthma meds.

Hi ladies

Just a quick pop in. Saw Ann Richardson this morning. She says it sounds as if Dylan is very well adjusted and a regular 20 month old so no worries at all.

Sleep tips were given. we will encourage him to sleep at night without us being there but slowly and with encouragement. If he tantrums we were told to close the door though for a moment so that he knows either he can have a loving mom check on him every couple minutes or he can have a closed door. That may sort out the problem of him waking at night.

We also have to add the floradix (sp) magnesium at night which she says will help with leg cramps and general sleep. We must also deworm him every 6 months. Kids get small worms apparently that annoy most at night. Ugh.

What else. Just general tips about how to handle situations like smacking and talking with a dummy. She said to attach his dummy to his bed. If he wants it he has to go there for a suck but won't be able to walk around with it as he is starting to talk with it and it will give speech problems later on. She said not to worry about the tactile issure. Not all kids like dirty hands. It is only an issue when a kid won't touch anything at all and so doesn't develop.

She also said to put Dylan back on the Isomil 3. It may cause less bloating and less phlegm and is fine to use. He was far more restful on it anyway. Oh yes we are to drop the day bottle as it may be filling him too much and they do not need 600ml of milk at this age. Hopefully he will then eat better at night.

She also said it was fine to put a small sippy cup of water next to his bed as they can become thirsty during the night and a sip here and there is fine.

Thats all folks.

now back to work for me

Chat later. xxx

Hi guys just a quick pop in, i have a ton of work to finish.

Ally- most of the quotes i spend hours working on get rejected, mostly without even so much as a no thank you but you will soon get used to it. I found with time people came to me through word of mouth because people don't believe the quality reflects the price until they see it.

Christi- i agree with you 100% on the money issues!

Lelani- so happy for you right now!

Thanx Nicole, I'm pretty chuffed with it.
Yep, that's the problem. People want nice food for cheap and it's just not going to happen. You can't want salmon on a bread budget! And I'm not prepared to lower my standards and do the same as every other small catering company. I want to be different.
