Lelani I think that is a fabulous idea re combined birthday party. No gifts just fun. Maybe club together to hire a small jumping castle or water slide???

Angie Cj is too stunning for words. Thanks for the sunblock tip.

Ally you do realise that we now think the worst. Out with it young lady. ;)

Nicole good on you for standing up to your family re coke. they had their opportunity to raise their kids, now it's your turn.

Angelique so sorry about cole. You are an awesome mom and at aleast dad is there. Hope cole gets better asap.

Helen well done on allowing Oliver to fall in. At least he got a bit of a fright. These kids tend to learn from trial and errorl.

:) Thanks for the comments on the cakes. Hard work this weekend, but hopefully lesser this weekend. Am doing a babyshower cake/cupcakes and chocolate dummy's and then a Nr 1 cake with fairies. Hopefully no last minute cakes - those I have to admit are the worst - you don't want to say no and that you CAN of course SQEEZE it in but it just takes the last bit of breath/energy out of you.

Only approaching potty training next year. Both my first two did it at 2yrs and 2 months. Might buy a potty for her bday though......

DH has just filled out his tax return and its good news. Might finally get us out of the black hole for a bit!!!!

Shame Angelique, my 3 haven't had the chick pox yet.....

Hey Julz, you up for a visit on Weds?

Helen, phew thats scarey for the pool incident - but I'm sure he'll keep an eye out from now - sometimes it just takes once to shake them.

Beautiful eyes Helen, Erin also does sad and happy face - though sad face she pouts her lips out more.

The cakes I posted here weren't the snickers cheesecake....I might get into big trouble if I post that here :) Too many blood thirsty pregnant women to come banging on my door.

Angie, don't beat yourself up about being a working mum. Works for some, not for others. Be thankful his grandparents are around - few people have someone closeby. I'm lucky to be at home - but that means the breadline for us - and a lot of arguements when it comes to the kids wanting something we can't afford. Mums are always the best, remember that.

Waiting for Erin to go to sleep, she's crying but sometimes crying puts her to sleep. Blasted cat wee'd on the leather sofa this morning. Aaaargh. DH asleep - he's on the 5pm to 1am shift. Its his birthday Weds and he has the day off, thank goodness. He's looking for cake to take to work - I HOPE HE PAYS!!!!!! No freebies around here.
Feeling pretty good, on my worst week a month ago I was a 0/10 but now I'm about a 6 to 7. Getting there slowly again. DH heard last night that his dad has to go for a heartbypass operation - waiting to hear from the surgeon today when. Not so nice.

Am off to make some tea. byeeeeeee

PS Vix, where are youuuuuu, used to seeing your posts first here :)

helen, you better get going girl....one of these days that lil nunu's will be here ;)
I'm sure Oliver will now be much more carefull....good on you mommy.

angie, CJ is soooooo cute!!!
that angry face makes me think of Z....his got the same scary look...hehehe.....wonder were they get it from...def not us

simone, glad G is a bit better!!!
addy is so flippen cute....if you gus had to live in CT i'd prob come steal her....lol one day i'll have to come to pe to visit!!!

lisha, glad shrey & his granny is so smitten with eachother....makes it so special :)
dont feel bad about not giving as much attention as what granny does.....us parents have a million things to do just like them when we were kids....my mom always says it's there turn to spoil the kids, just like we'll do with our grankids ;-)

angi, hope C's spots dissapear soon!!! shame, i remember with Chanel....she would cry because it itched so much :-(
please dont feel bad about going to work....dh always says...that without youre job you wont be able to care for them....so rather make sure they are cared for then mommy's undivided attention xxx when you get home...I'm sure mommy's kisses will make everything better (((hugs)))

leigh...cakes looks yummy!!!!

re potty training.....have decided to leave it for now at home....when Z is at school he wee's & poops in the potty without a prob, but at home...no ways....he'll sit on the potty for like 10min....not even a drop....then pull up his pants, go around the corner & wee. dont want to presurise him at all so I'll wait for him to tell me when he wants to go & then carry on at school. I think his friends doing it at school makes him want to do it, coz there he'll actually trow a tantrum if the teacher doesn't take him quick enough...lol...funny boy of mine :P

re party.....we decided no parties this year coz were going on holiday end sept....but when we start talking about the kids birthdays a party always comes up...so........

ct girls....what do you girls think of having a b-day party for all the kids together at our place??? we can have a braai with all the family & friends B)

OMW Angelique I did not even know Cole has chicken pox - shame hope he feels better soon! Don't feel bad that you need to be at work!!!

Re potty training - we are not there yet, although Cj has been weeing in the bath or shower standing up as soon as we take his nappy off. he also comes to us holding the front part of his nappy and when we ask him if he wants to wee he runs to the loo, but when we put him on the potty or toilet he refuses to stay put. So I am leaving him, trying not to push too hard, he will do it when he is ready. When summer comes I will leave him without nappy when I am at home, and try and let him wee every 10 - 20 min???? I don't know, I think because he does not speak much it's feels as if it's a bit early for us... I supppose time will tell!

Shame Angelique you can't be a bad mother for being at work ... it's unfortunate that work has to dictate our lives like this :( Hope Cole feels better soon. How long does chicken pox last?

Simone lol @ the cheeks story ... she's playing all of you ;)
Re the toilet still no action on our side yet. Shrey insists on sitting on the toilet but will do nothing and when he's making a poo he will tell us but refuses to sit on the toilet. Think it's time to put on brief and let him wet himself & learn that he must now do that in toilet??? Hope that works but the moment his diaper is off he starts insisting that we put one on again!

Hello All

Just wanted too say hi.

Thanks for the messages on FB, Cole is ok but he has a lot of spots and the chicken pox close to and around his penis and in the crack of his bum are the worst. Shame but he is his usual naughty and playful self.

Left him with my dad as I am just tooo busy at work to stay at home...Feel like I crap and will definitely not get them mother of the year award any time soon.
