Halloooo mommies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you haven't gathered by my hallooooo that I am in a very very good and happy mood - then I will give the explanation!!!! I won a 2 night stay away for 2 in a luxury spa!!!!!! I have never won anything, and believe that this could be my luck changing!!!! Guys I cannot tell you how extremely happy I am, this is the break that DH and I need so desperately! He was a bit concerned about Cj, because we will have to leave him with my sister for a whole weekend, but when I showed him the website of the spa, he said SHIT I THINK CJ WILL BE FINE!!!!!!!!
The place is De Haven Oost in Cullinan it looks really devine! My sister stays in PTA, so it's not that far, if anything happens we will be able to get to their house quickly!

Nothing can get me down today, not even the worse financial situation that we are in at the moment!!!!! You girls know how long I have been saying that I need some alone time with DH, and that I don't know how we will ever find a way to do that! We will have to wait a bit longer though, cause the prize should be taken between 3 Sept and 1 Dec. We are going in Sept, as it is me and DH's birthday in Sept!!!!

Enough about me -

PFairy - OMW I am so sorry for the accident, as Julz said glad nobody got hurt!!!! FX the insurance will pay out, I am sure they will! MIA IS ADORABLE!!!

WELCOME LEIGH - hope you will enjoy chatting here, I must say these ladies are amazing, and extremely supportive, and in the past week they have been my life-line!!!!!!!

JULZ I must say, I also used to write down the names, and something short as to what to reply, as I could never remember what everyone said!!!! It is a bit overwhelming in the beginning!

Ally, I think CJ is about the weight of your twins - I must say that I weighed him long ago, but he was almost 12 kg last time, so he might be just over 12kg now!!! I am not sure how tall he is now, as it feels like he is growing a cm everyday! DH and I got this nice piece of rough wood, about 2 meters long. We decided that we are going to clean it, sandpaper and vanish it, then we want to put CJ length from birth on it, and add on every two months or so! We let him stand against the wood about a month ago, to measure him (think he was 93cm) and he enjoyed it so much now when he walks passed it he goes and stands with his back against it and shows us we must measure! DH must just get on with it and work on the freakin thing and then we can start doing it every second month or so... i think it will look quite nice, and will be nice for CJ to also see how he is growing. And we can use it to motivate him to eat a bit better some days!

Anyway, I hope everyone had a good night!!!

Yippee it's Friday!

Helen, that is quite expensive although in the areas close to me it's also that expensive. I think it's coz it's considered posh? Here half day is anything between R900 and R2000 and full day is R1500-R2500. It's ridiculous!

WELCOME LEIGH!! You are more than welcome to join us and we love having new mommies in our group! :) Just to catch you up, I have 19 month old twins. Abigail & Aidan. :)

Oh, I think I forgot to say how much the twins weigh the other day. Abi is now 12.8kg and Aidan is 12.3kg...and Abi is 87cm and Aidan is 86cm. I always knew she was going to be taller up to the age of 16 probably. I was always the tallest until high school when the boys started growing. IN primary school I was a head taller than all the boys!!

Vix, don't expect too much of the 4d with twins. You might get amazing results but it's not the same as with 1 baby. We struggled for 90 minutes to see Abi's face. She just showed us her back the whole time. We saw a glimpse of Aidan's face when I got impatient and poked his side really hard but it wasn't even that clear. But like I said, you might get great results, just don't want you to be dissappointed.

Oi Simone, I would also go insane. We put the twins down with their bottles and walk out. If they moan we stand by their cots but they don't get picked up. We stopped rocking in November when I almost lost it one night. I VERY almost threw Abi onto the couch and I said to C this has to stop. I can't be that close to hurting her!!

Oh, we found out today that my cousin's friend (19), also a twin, is pregnant. She is devastated and the first thing her mom said was to get an abortion. I'm going to try to get together with her this weekend to talk to her. She's very scared of being a young mom.

Anyway, need to jump into bed. Very tired!

Leigh- welcome to one of the craziest, funniest, maddest, most supportive group of ladies I know. I'm the nice quiet completely sane Brit (don't listen to anything Simone says about me, I've never said a crazy thing in my life!) LOL

Some of us have been chatting since we found ourt we were pregnant and some have only joined us in more recent months but I promise you everyone is just as special and important and just coz we're a tight bunch doesn't mean we're inpenetrable. You and your 3 beautiful daughters will fit right in. I'll be joining you in the mum of 3 catagory by the end of the year.

Guys, I just felt what I think is baby no1 on my left side, I'm feeling more on the left than right which leads me to think the bigger on is on my left. I haven't really felt them since last week and after my pains was getting a bit worried but now I feel more at ease. I just love that feeling.

So, I looked into the cost of a 4D scan and it's expensive, R580 but Elwyn said if Dr can't tell us the sex at 16w then we can have a 4D! Yippie!!!! I really want to know the sexes, it's burning a hole in my pocket of patience.

Helen- wow Oliver is over 16kg? I must say though, you wouldn't say so to look at him anymore, he has really slimmed out since his baby days! Northern JHB does seem very expensive for daycare. I enquired by me and it's anything from R900 to R1200 for full day.

Simone- Divorce! LOL I would go spastic if my DH rocked C to sleep every night which meant he wouldn't go to bed alone anymore. I get irritated when he wants me to lay in bed with him for more than 1 min LOL

Mandy- I haven't heard from Anneli but Shaleen said she is coming.

Gonna jump in the bath now but will catch up in the morning.

Hey my dear friend.

Ladies Tooambicious is my dear friend from School. We reconnected last year when she returned from the Uk. I have been telling her to join us for ages now. Leigh so pleased you have. It is quite overwhelming here at first. I used to sit with paper and a pen and write down all the names etc. These are the most amazing ladies ever Leigh.

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.

(I am about to feel like someone who has walked into a crowded room and everyone is quiet, so feeling like a fish out of the water but here goes).

Evening all. My name is Leigh and I fall into the category of 2008 Nov baby - my daughter Erin. I also have 2 other girls, Renee aged 4 and Charlene aged 5 hence name TOOAMBITIOUS. Hence also the reason for no sex in the last 20 months for fear of another baby girl in the house, ha ha.

I'm a full time mum, 2 go to playgroup and I stay at home with Erin. I bake novelty cakes and cupcakes in my spare time (and sell them). I happen to have just finished a Ben10 cake and am busy with the 24 cupcakes that go with it. What drives a child to like Ben10, I don't know. Or worse what drives parents to buy the ugly things - who knows ;) Phew for girls and barbie and dollies and fairies. Freak when they all become teenagers and my hair grows grey.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi. About to make a cup of tea and fill a hot water bottle. Husband also about to walk in the door from his shift (did I mention he works 3 weeks of night shift and 1 week of day shift but hopefully not for long!!!)

Nighty night all
Leigh (the newbie on the block)

Bothasig, Cape Town
Mum of 3 girls - Charlene(6) 09/11, Renee (5) 10/04 and Erin (2 and 9 mnths) 16/11.
Moved back from the UK 2.5 years ago. Missing my friends. Full time job - Mum. Part time cake baker and decorator - love it.

Julz I wish I was leaving this company as a result of resignation! I'm very positive about my future....but I wanted to be the one to tell them to stick it!!!

We have big problem...Gerard has been home for 2w and ROCKING Addison to sleep everyday for naps...so no wonder my old method is not working the last 2w! I think last time I put her down was last monday! Even my sister could put Addy on bed and in 5min she was asleep! Now we lay and she plays and refuses to sleep until he comes home! GRR!

So can't wait for him to be back at work so she can get rid of this horrible spoiling as a result of hIm!
