Birth of my Kids - 1st Photos

When I had Connor at Panorama MC in 2001, they also took him away from me. My friend David returned with pictures of Connor before I actually say Connor. So David came back to the hospital, stuck pictures of Connor up in the room while I was waiting for him and finally after about 6 hours they brought him to me.

There was nothing wrong, it was just hospital policy that they kept c-section babies in the incubator for a set period of time.

With Georgia born at CT MC in 2005, they put her straight on my chest, she was with me in post-op and they came to get her at about 2am to clean her and bath her (she was born at 18h30)

Isabelle back at Panorama MC in 2009, very different. They let me hold her in surgery, but then whipped her away when I was in post op. But as soon as I got back to the room, I told them to bring her to me, as sometimes you realise actually you are the client and not the patient.

But I think Panorama MC has got much more holistic since I was there first in 2001, they were much more accommodating, though they are a very strict hospital.

Joli - I asked my friend David to do the photos as I knew that he would not get distracted with what was going on and he would just snap away, which he did.

I did not feel awkward with him being there - he photographed Connor and Isabelle's birth so that was great for me.

Georgia was a bit of a rushed job, so no time, the paed took her photos for us.

These are brilliant - love them.

Is there any chance that anyone using photobucket can rather drag their images to their desktop and insert them from there. I am blocked looking at photobucket - and I am sure some other moms will be too if they log on at work.

But it it not an issue, I will log on at home and look at them later.

And finally mommy holding Kirsten for the very first time!!!

I bled a lot of the episiotimy so the nurse quickly cleaned most of my blood of her and wrapped her up all snuggly to pass on to mommy!

After 6 hours of intense labour and 1 hour of serious pushing she is finally out weighing a whopping 3.76kg!
