Cols - aww shame man thats terrible! Maybe the teeth are still pushing on his gums or maybe he just has to get used to having the teeth still?

Poor little K is still toothless! but i have had two nights of runny nappies and very red skin. So i think they are on their way.

With the CT trip we left early in the morning so a lot of the trip was in her sleep time so she slept and then we just gave her some panado about half way though... maybe try that with the rescue drops?

Girly - congrats on all the milestones! I am still amazed at how strong K is! And just a few weeks ago you thought her progress would be hampered by the op and now she's leaving some of us in the dust! You can put a nice big gold star on for being a super mom.

Charnenay - I know what you mean. I saw a little baby the other day and I was saying to the mom how teeny tiny she is and I am sure Evan was much bigger than her at her age (3 weeks) well... she actually weighed much more than evan - I could not believe it was possible my monster was every that small. I miss him being so small but I love how he changes everyday! You know, it's a cliche, but they really do grow too fast!

Ok, I need some help here... So we officially have 2 teeth that have cut through. Problem is, Evan is now being very restless at night and is crying in what appears to be pain and constantly rubbing his gums and biting his lips and fingers. Me holding him etc doesnt help. Is it right that they start having pain after the teeth break through? I havent been putting anything on his gums because he seemed to be doing so well. I ended up giving him calpol last night for the pain cos we were up from 11 - 12:30 pm and I couldnt any more...His paed checked him on monday and everything else is going well. He had no signs of infections etc at all. He hasnt had any fevers and his snotty nose seems to be clearing up... His teacher recommended W-Last mouth gel from the health shop. Apparently 2 of the other kids at school are using it and it's really helping them.

We leave for the drakensberg tomorrow morning after the ent and I am just hoping we are ok. We're going somewhere about 50km towards dbn from Harrysmith. I dont know how long that will take us. Should I give him rescue drops?

Charnenay - congrats on the waving... K started the friday before last, now she is at a point where everything gets waved at... she sits and waves with her toys in the bath... we went to have the car washed (lazy i know) and she sat waving at all the other people waiting for their cars... and they had nothing better to do so they waved back... lol

Girly i know you need to hear this! K also went through it and believe me it got to a point i was crying coz she was doing it every night and it just seemed to go on and on... sunday night it ended as quickly as it started and now she is sleeping better than she was before! She now doesn't stir at night she goes to bed at 7 - 7:30ish and the next time i hear from her its 5am when i get up to get ready for work (she has to be at MIL at 5:30 for us to get to work on time). Dont get me wrong she talks in her sleep now, or wakes up moans a bit and puts herself to sleep, but i find i have to wait if she moans again then i go. Hang in there it will end sooner than it feels! Promise

and on that i think its linked with all the milestones you mentioned Kaylee is hitting on now... Kaelyn also started all of those things... the walking is by far the cutest thing! And everyones Jaws drops in amazement when i let her do it! She does however seem to have an energizer lithium battery somewhere in there... she seems to go 100% full steam ahead all the time, I wish i had that kind of energy huh?

Then all of a sudden she will come to me and sit on my lap and a few minutes later shes fast asleep!

Charnenay too cute on the waving!!! You are right, I was thinking the same thing. I wish I could keep her a baby for longer. Cant believe how much of a person she is looking like now, little miss independent!

We had a playdate yesterday with 2 friends one has a 4month old the other a 15month old. K had SO MUCH FUN with these two, she was there from 10am till 5pm and was totally content the entire day just cos she had company!

So big achievements the last little while. Last Friday Kaylee started pulling herself up against her cot. Over the weekend she started lifting her hips and knees off the ground into a push up position, then she pulls her knee in and 'crawls' backwards. She's really gotten the hang of it and goes from one end of the lounge to the other! If I hold her hands and walk in front of her, she will take steps and get from one end of the lounge to the other and she loves it! She uses us as jungle gyms now, climbs all over us and has become so efficient and mobile its scary!
Oh yes and she is 8 months old today

Tomorrow I am joining a friend at the gym and going to leave Kaylee with their daycare for an hour to see how it goes. At least she's just a minute away for me to check up on her and if she doesnt cooperate she's not left to cry without me. I am so not lus for it but I definitely need the motivation, and to have a friend with will help!

Okay so nightmares & separation anxiety!!!
Read somewhere that separation anxiety peaks between 8-9 months and I can definitely agree here! And since last night K has been crying hectically in her sleep (woke 3 times like this before midnight). Only thing that consoles her is the breast. Dont know what I'd do without it. Tonight she did it once only (so far).
Not sure what it is. She is still in the camp cot in our room and if she gets restless / wont sleep we bring her to the bed and then I put her back in her cot when she's sleeping again.

Anyway better get to bed! Hubby leaves at 5:30 tomorrow morning and only home around 11pm tomorrow night But means I'll probably wake up with him getting ready (hope K doesnt wake!)

PM - How did your mom's surgery go? I hope everything went really well and she has a speedy recovery!

babyksmom - oh no thats Terrible!!! I hope you get it back. I am pretty sure it wasn't at wimpy, i watched the card the whole time the waitress had it (OCD i think LOL) the only think she swiped it through was the machine.

it doesn't only happen at restaurants though anywhere where they can get your card out of your sight for 1 minute and the sad thing they can print up a new card within a few minutes, think when you go the branch to get a new debit card, what you are there half an hour maybe?

anyhow enough doom and gloom or we will all be safeguarding our cards from everyone!
