girly i hope its just a phase... shes a terror at the moment... having a medicre day... better than yesterday though... please let it pass! shes too little for such unhappyness!

anyway shes now sleeping in my ever so overused arm... gotta run to get the washing down... its abt to rain... grrrrr took me soo long to get it up

L's not that difficult it is just that he is clingy and wants to be in the arms, not whose arms MY arms. that is the only way he settles down...he's only a lil bit teary

and my nights turned for the worse....he goes to bed round bout 7 sleeps till 11:30 - feed, then sleeps till 02:30 - feed, sleeps till 05:30 - feed and stay awake till 08:00 - then sleep till 09:00 (today he was awake till 13:15)....and guess what he is already awake again....

and we've started with cereal cos he is demanding bout 1lt of milk per day and must way close to 7kgs already

physical development - loves his mobile, gurgles and smiles and sometimes laugh out loud hehe, and likes being on his tummy, sometimes grab things.

not much interest in his playgym - think it overstimilates him, but he loves his teddies

and his bottle and his rooibos tea.....if he tasted rooibos he does not want his milk ?????

ooo and for the prodol - jadon had his 1st 2 pearly whites at 3 and half month and i used it cos the other stuff didn't work...and he's ok, or so i hope

M2M glad he's sleeping!
4 weeks is a loooong 'stormy period' - and K is only 14,5 weeks now that means we get 2 more weeks extra?

We tried to get Prodol yesterday but apparently its only from 6 months? We got Dynexan and Pansoral.

PS Glad ur internet is back up.
Is L difficult to calm down? He must be going through a stage.
How are his physical milestones?

K isnt grabbing for things yet or maybe she is but is still missing quite a lot. She does stare at and talk to things though its very cute. I hope she'll start grabbing soon.
She also hates tummy time and I feel she's under developed in this area even though I try get her on her tummy at least once a day. She kinda sits on her elbows, more so the one than the other and she finds her fist and then rests her head on her arm and sucks her fist. I hope she'll get better at it soon cos its such a vital part in the rolling over phase.
I'm thinking of enrolling her in babygym to help this along. I dont want to wait till Dec when I see paed before doing something about it if need be.

What do you do during the day for stimulation / games?
Kerry if your girl is truely doing 4month things she could also be going through the 4month sleep regression - yep heard me right! Sounds awful! K has been the same the last 2 nights though, waking up at midnight (goes down between 7 & 8) for a feed and then again at 5:30am. Wander whats in the air!

Shew girls I'm really having a bad day. Still havent had lunch - instead I finished way too many biscuits. Charnenay you'll be disappointed. I'm meant to go to pilates tonight but the way I feel I just wanna sit home and relax. DH is at band practice on a tuesday night, so I'm hoping K goes down on time and then I can relax a bit (includes doing washing, tiding kitchen, repacking kitchen now that our cupboards are in).

i've just stumbled accross my infant massage filo and in there is an abstract of the book "a step backward, a leap forward"

in this abstract they basically confirm in so much words why my lil baba is so different...so difficult to put down/calm down etc

he is reaching his mental development milestones - which is different from physical development milestones...and difficult 'stormy' weeks ahead as he reach these goals.

week 15-19 - stormy period
week 19-23 - sunny period

you girls at my place can have a look at it tomorrow


ooo and on teehing - try to get some PRODOL it is fantastic and it is not so strong like teejel and it is way better and it is soooo cheap. not all pharmacies have.

Mommy2J shame man... mine also screams from 6-8, well if i don't hold her.... so now before happy hour starts we put her in her rocker with white noise on loud and force her to dreamland... its starting to work... If you lived in JHB i'd offer to babysit for you a bit...

i think my baby k who isnt even three months yet may need solids! the last 2 weeks she cries most of the day day... you put her on the boob she eats me empty comes off crying... i know shes getting enough milk... its going right through, but shes so hungry! she was sleeping 8 and a half hours at night with no trouble... now if she makes 5 its a miracle. tankfully going to the clinic on thursday... so will ask there what i can do.... but its killimg me!
Truth is she looks and acts like a four month old... has been rolling over for a while now... if you put her to bed on her back she rolls to her side... if you put her on her left side she rolls onto her back waits a bit and when you look again shes on her right side facing the wall. she holds thinhs and almost collapses the playgym trying to get the toys to her mouth... shes only three months on the 26th though!

shes also definately got sore gums... they are so white! teejel helps for a bit... even gave her some panado the other night, she just seems so very sore... poor little thing.

but she laughs at everything now when shes happy and grabs everythng... i have to ry her hands off mt collar when i need to put hr down... got her a set of those clip together loops... R40 at reggies.... and she carries them everywhere....the only thing she ligs more is her dummy teddy... too cute for words. it makes up for the crying doesn't it!
