August-September 2010 Moms

hey mommies,

So Thursday was my last day, Friday was kinda crazy had doc visit early morning and then had to do my UIF, which took over 3 hours!!!! not going to complain as its done and behind me.

Doc says baby is growing well, he expected her to come at 38 weeks, she is ova 3kg's but couldnt be exact, there is enough fluid so theres no need to induce me. Our next appointment is 20th so is she doesnt come by then, he will induce me.
So all he said to me was anytime now just be prepared.

Being at home really helps although i did some stuff around the house i got to have an afternoon nap so im very relaxed plus i cooked supper and waiting for Hubby an Jude to arrive.

I have this weird pain or burning sensation under my right boob area, doc says its proberly stretching. Otherwise im so happy for all the moms who have the precious bundles of joys, i really cant wait but then again patient as i know how things come once baby has arrived.

M2J by now ur holding ur bubs in your arms! My wish for you is to really feel loved by your DH in this time. That he sees in you the amazing woman you are and appreciates you.

Girly, 3 sleepies! I have 10...seems I'm gonna be last in row. On the one hand I'm soo excited, and on the other hand scared.

My girls and their dad went through some serious issues the past week, so much that my youngest refused to go to him this weekend. Hence he finally got some savvy and decided that the girls must go to my mom again in the afternoons. But with me on ML I went and fetched them from school. So lekker having them with me.

This week is the start of the Eistedford (school talent competitions). My youngest's class is doing their piece on Thursday, and my eldest is dancing in the competition over 2 days. 7 days after my C-section.....and mom's gotto be there! Don't ask me how I'm gonna manage.

We didn't really get our scan pics on paper, just one set. The rest is on CD. Which is lekker, cause it's easy to upload on Facebook.

I did something amazing with one of my colleagues's scans and i think i will do it with mine when i go on leave... i scanned them all and made a powerpoint presentation with them... it was a fun way of keeping them together...

Oops... lol sorry... didn't mean to get sooo over excited there... LOL... don't laminate your scans... they are printed on thermal paper... which means no heat. So if you get them too hot... like by laminating them they will go completely black and most gyneas can't re-print them for you so you will be very sorry...

Rather scan them on your computer scanner... or take a photo of them with your camera... and have proper photos printed... that way they last forever

I will 'edit' to say 'photocopy them and laminate the copies'
Doc suggests to make copies of them anyways as they fade with time.

Girly... NOOOOOOO!!!!! Dont laminate them, the heat will make them go blank!!!!!!!

Scan them and have them printed as photos rather... !!!

BabyZee what a long journey we've been on together hey! Very happy so many of us were able to share this journey together after TTC together and now this day is finally here.

Cant wait to see all the pics and hear all the stories.

I got an SMS from Blessed 2 be on the weekend. Her LO was still in hospital with jaundice, so pls keep them in your prayers. If I get an update will let u know.

Thx the advice re HB. I really need to get to the techniques, as you say it will be a huge help in every day life. But I must say just being on ML and not having the stress of work is a huge 'kalmeer middel' When is your next appointment and whats the latest re your due date?

We took inlaws for Cattle Barron burger special tonight, as a last dinner out for us. They have been there for us a lot these past few months so was nice to just spend time with them.
Now DH playing xbox games while I keep myself busy on the PC but I have taped idols and survivor which I'm waiting to watch Spose I have all of tomorrow to do that also

DH put in our car base and car seat today. Must say the base is REALLY nice! Window sox also up, and repacked hospital bags
I think we're pretty much ready for her to arrive now. Will just do some odds and ends around the house but I can just see this week flying by!
