Hi all, i spoke to soon, i spent the entire afternoon in agony, thank goodness my mom was here i ran a hot bath to ease the pain and ended up jumping out 5 times to run to the loo, vomitting....i cant tak it anymore i am so sure it is not a bug as i dont feel ill at all i would say its more of an attack, my stomache has turned on me, i just hope it has to do with the pregnancy, and it stops after she is out because i dont think i can deak with this crap anymore!

I am officially gatvol!

Babyzee, so we are on the same day, i am also going in the night before and wanted to go in 5am rather but like they explained to me they give you a sleeping tablet and start prepping you slowly instead of everything at once and i remember it being a mad rush with my first one when i went in at 5am, i was a nervos wreck! So think i will try opt for the more relaxed route this time!

Mommy2J glad that you are feeling much better, why dont you get another relative to look after your daughter, that way you can rest easy knowing she will be o.k, all the best on your c/s Tuedays.

So i went for my last appointment today baby is definately comming on Tuesday there is not much fluid left in there and his lungs are mature, he is 3.2kgs my C/S is at 8:00a.m the want me to sleep at the hopsital the day before but i would rather go in at 5 a.m on the day.

It is so real now i feel like i still have alot to do, wish me luck...

Thanks for the msg's im feeling much better today, just hope its not like the calm before the storm becausemit seems to happen every 4 days or so and dont need it to happen when im going in to hospital. I want to be relaxing and taking it easy.

I took a chance with the deluxe suite, they also told me first come first serve, so i told them when i was coming and i didnt back down till they officially booked it for me, i need that room and it costs a lil extra but if im going to stay there for a week i want some privacy!


So had my pedi today, feeling good and relaxed want to get everything else done on the weekend and then DH and i can take our daughter for a fun day ou on Monday the public holiday!

Have to say i didnt believe much in the aterax, but i had such a relaxing evening last night an a good nights rest, feel revitalised today.


All these bets on dates makes me little jelous of how spontanious it could be instead of a set date, everyone wants to know when they can come visit in hospital and the visiting hours are strictly 3-4pm and 6-7pm so i will have plenty time with her before everyone bombards us. i remeber i was in so much pain when i had my first c-sec and everyone was there and i just felt like crying...so overwhelming you cant move or walk and there were just people and flowers and questions.....im dreading it but at the same time i know how excited everyone is!

Dh and his sister my sister and my mom will be outside delivery room and then everyone except dh has to leave 20 min after birth! Both his parents have passed away and i feel like at at times like this he feels it. My dad isnt going to be there he is so excited but not the type to be that over eager, he made me laugh cos he asked me yesterday " so when are they going to 'SLAG' you!!!!! Like im a cattle or something i was like there are so many other words you could have chosen but hey!!! thats my dad.


So im just tring to micro organise everything at home while im not here...set up my daughters stuff for DH, school clothes, face cream ect ect lunch boxes alarm clocks...i want to leave notifications and reminders on the wall like in the bathroom " DO NOT LEAVE HER UNATTENDED IN THE BATH NO MATTER WHAT!!!!" and in her room DO NOT FORGET TO PUT ON THE NIGHT NAPPY!!!

Mabe im just being paranoid, but i really hope he steps up cos he is a little laxy dazy and the other night he gave her biltong in bed while her t.v was blaring and he came down stairs.... I was like a mad woman NOOOOOO NOOOOO NOOOOO, THAT IS NOT OK, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING....YOU WONT EVEN HEAR HER CHOKE......ARE YOU CRAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYY.....so i am hoping he got the message! He often does irresponsible things like that, some of the biggest fights we have had start with him getting in the car and not checking where she is or him leaving the pool gate open and i just ge so sick of having to think for him to! So somehow he better get his ass into gear, or its me a post-eds all over the house.

I do need to teach him how to make a scrambled egg and do a pony-tail over the weekend! ha ha i wish i could be a fly in the wall when he has to do her hair for school, i told her teacher today i take no responsibility for how she looks next week as her dad is in charge of getting her ready. LOL

The 18th is my Dad's birthday so he is hoping for that day. Then others say the 26th, 29th and 30th. I would love for him to stick to his due date of the 2nd Sept but will have a better idea after seeing the gynae next week, to see how much he has grown.

Shame Mommy2J and Eileen Sounds like you both have had quite a week with pain and discomfort, I feel for you.
I know how difficult it is to stay in bed when you have things to do. And sorry to hear about your ordeal Naikza but how wonderful that your beautiful boy is healthy and with you now.

My friend's friend has the same due date as me and she has been in hospital for almost 3 weeks now as she starting going in to labour at 33 weeks. The docs halted the labour but she has opted to stay in hospital on bed rest as she knows if she goes home she won't stay in bed.

But Mommy2J, only a few more days to go! And Girly, one week today! How exciting to know the exact date already. I'm going natural, I'm a hypnobirthing mom so I've been practising relaxation and breathing techniques daily. I believe I will have a calm birth so I will definitely keep you girls posted on how this whole thing works. Its my first time so I'm excited and curious.

Can't wait for my scan next week Wed, I feel like my boy is getting bigger, he was already 2.5kg 2 weeks ago so I wonder how big he is now I should have seen the doc this week now that I'm 36 weeks but he is away.

I found an old album yesterday and made new covers for it with this cute little boy pic I found and I've put all my baby's scans and 4D scan photos in it. Sort of like his pre-baby album
And today I've started washing all his little clothes and bootees and towels and blankies. Can't wait to dress him in everything. I hope he's not too big for all the cute newborn outfits! But I have lots of friends who are preggers so there will always be someone I can pass unworn clothes onto. All of a sudden 5 of my friends are pregnant! A ready-made playgroup for my boy

Wow those private rooms sound divine! Do they cost extra? I'll be rooming in a room at Olivedale Clinic with 4 beds so depending on how many mothers are birthing I might have 3 other mothers with me. But I don't really mind, its only 2 nights and they've made the rooms as lovely as possible. I want to take advantage of the nurses while I'm there so they can show me and Hubby how to do everything

Girly... as for the baby getting ready to come... hubby and i went to his mom for supper last night and hubby's mom, her BF and bf's son and hubby all placed bets down on when baby's coming... it's a good spread too... 18th, 20th, 23rd and 30th... you just have to love it...

anyway, feeling real terrible today, so very very glad it's friday and i can go home and relax a bit.

M2J sorry to hear about your ordeal!
If baby is fine could it not maybe be some food poisoning or a tummy bug? Esp if the pain and cramping is being brought on by food?

Try following the BRAT diet - banana's, rice, apples, tea. No milk / yoghurt / nothing acidic / spicey. Add watered down Enerjade to stay hydrated, ponado's for the fever and lots of rest for at least 2 days.

The aterax is an antihistamine which also helps you relax for sleep (it has a drowsy effect) and safe in pregnancy. It is given as an alternative to a sleeping pill in pregnancy. Not sure what else it'd be used for.

It's likely you'll get either Atarax or a sleeping pill the night before your c/sec.
You can also take rescue remedy tablets this weekend, follow the recommendations on the bottle. I see Sister Lillian has a similar remedy for birth.
