Good luck Mommy2J (soon to be Mommy2J&S) and good luck BabyZee!

Thinking of you ladies lots.

I had the most beautiful reiki session today - a very good friend is a reiki practitioner and offered to do a treatment on me. I've never had one before but I felt so energised afterwards and my little boy responded so well and was bouncing around during it.

Then same friend (also the most talented photographer) took some pics of me and hubby and the belly. I'll post some if she has time to edit them before baby comes.

So I have had a truly awesome women's day, feeling very empowered and looking so forward to my adventure of giving birth, which some may argue is the most womanly and feminine act ever B)

Hey Girly - absolutely the HB book can help you relax your nerves for your c-section on friday! I just find it so positive and it can help with other aspects of our lives too, not just birthing. I'm also not a great visualiser but I do believe in the power of meditation and relaxation as I've been doing yoga for a couple of years and if I went a week without the meditation I could be quite agro and stressed out. So I'm focusing alot on that to maintain a relaxed state. I have not been practising the breathing as much as I should so need to start doing that a bit more now, after all that is how I will birth my baby by breathing him down.

Thanks Charn and Nikki and all the moms for the pics and updates on how you are doing. All your babies look so cute and good, looking forward to reading your birth stories. :cheer:

I hope everyone has had a good long weekend and that the next week is even better XxxX

AFM I love being able to sleep in, but dont much like the result of only falling asleep at 3:30am :( I lay in bed and read from about 12 until 1 and then just dosed. Only once DH was in bed (he loves late nights when on holiday!) did I feel calmer and eventually fell asleep.

And I had the strangest dreams!
1) Dreamt I had a bloody show but that I was all confused and didnt know what to do about it.
2) Dreamt that 'the next day' was our deadline for moving out of our rented flat and we had totally forgotten and hadnt made any plans or found another place. My old landlord and their family were involved in the dream which also involved some strangely divine chocolate eggs which landlords son & I were eating. All really odd as it took place in what felt like a shop of sorts. And we've been in our own place for over 3 years now?
3) Again some weird dream where I had to get somewhere but couldn't, involved my last day at work, and my brother and again bleeding and DH not understanding why we couldnt BD!

Gosh it really couldn't have gotten stranger!

So now I'm awake and should probably get a few things done while I still can.
Hope everyone else enjoys their days!
Keep us posted of any scans / appointments and may this week bring us many more healthy babies :D

Hey girls

Charnenay thanks so much for posting and answering my questions! Ive heard different comments about bringing clothes, and the meditwinkle list doesnt mention anything for baby.
So think I'll leave baby toiletry bag in the car, but bring in a small bag with some clothes & blankets for her.
Great re the pads! I should go buy some normal ones today then and hope I'm just as lucky.
How about 3rd day blues? Hope you got by lightly?

Looking forward to lots more pictures :)

M2J enjoy today, hope you will be resting up!
Even if you want everything ready, other people are also able to help and they can make a plan if not everything is ready by tonight. If you're too busy, tonight you wont sleep so rather take it easy.
Seems your hubby has some unrealistic expectations of you now. They can be rather narrow minded at times. I wish I could give you advice, but I dont think you should just keep quiet and be civil, as this wont solve anything. You need to do what's best for you, and he cant be allowed an easy way out. I hope you will find a way to communicate through the issues either alone or with a counsellor / mediator.
But for now - Sienna is your main priority! So ENJOY your last day, pamper yourself, take a nice looong bath tonight and get into bed early with a book. And then tomorrow, a new chapter will start for you! :D

Thanks Girly. As for Panorama Hospital, I have absolutely NO complaints - the staff are absolutely amazing. I loved ALL the nurses and they were so nice to DH too!!! They taught him lots of tricks which he then taught me!! I honestly packed so much things for Emily and hardly used anything. They wipe her and dress her in their clothes and blankets after she is born and then they bring her to you. She stayed in that until later the afternoon. Then, they came to ask for clothes and blankets for her, they then took her to the nursery to bath her and brought her back with the "goodie bag" - all the toiletries she needed while in hospital was in that bag - I never used any of my own stuff, not even nappies!! She stayed in that clothes the next day as well as they don't bath them again the second day, they then let you watch a demo bath the second day and on the third day, you have to go and do the bath yourself - DH did that bath and I watched as my back was very sore. So we only used 2 outfits that were packed and blankets and absolutely nothing else came out of her bag!!! Oh yes, I used her own towel too, but you don't need to as they do provide towels. Another thing that I found a complete waste was maternity pads!!!!!!! I am not sure if it's just me, but I hardly bled at all, I immediately switched to panty liners instead of that massive pads. I think I needed it the first day, but then the nurses were changing me, so I couldn't be sure, but the next morning when I was allowed to get up and do things for myself, I immediately noticed that there was definitely no need for those monstrous huge things!! :)

I was in the general ward, but they were not at all strict about DH's visiting hours and he was there most of the time. I am a really private person, but I was not at all bothered by the other mommies in the room. I have serious issues sharing a bathroom, but it actually worked out well because on the day I got there, there were 2 other people in the room, but then I went into theatre anyway, so I couldn't get up to use the bathroom that day - they were then discharged the next morning and then I was alone in the room when I could use the bathroom, so it was all mine. Then 2 other people came into the room, but they also had caesars so they couldn't get up and use the bathroom that day, so I still had it all to myself and then when they were able to move around, it was time for me to go home!!! So, even though I was in general ward, I never had to share the bathroom :)

Girly, hope that answers some of your questions ?????
