Aaaah Sher that is terrible, I'm sorry girl. I have not had a smash and grab but was very traumatised after our break-in last year so I can relate. Ja, thank goodness Kiara was not with you. But all that hassle of re-applying for everything and then of course the lost money and the memories attached to everything. Damn opportunists, its very sad. Glad you are ok though.
Robyn, sorry I forgot to wish D a happy birthday on Friday too. Sounds like it was a lovely weekend

John's party also went off really well on Sat, just with family. He had a ball and mashed his own cake and got some lovely presents. I will also post some pics soon, just need to download and resize all the photos first.
I also still need to take J for his 1 year check up. I was going to do the nurse for his jab and the paed but maybe I will just do the nurse like you Jeanine. I can always take him to the paed after the nurse if I feel I need to. I think John weighs in the region of 10.5 according to our scale but I know that its not as accurate as the nursing scales so am curious to see. And he has grown quite a bit taller in the last month or so so I want to know the cms
Kerry wow that sounds sore and you are so brave to not take the myprodol. Are you taking panado at least? Good luck for the surgery next week. I had all 4 of mine removed when I was 19 I think. A friend of mine had only 1 wisdom tooth - her brother too. We joke that they're the next generation (or maybe the previous, hehe).
John ate some silica gel earlier - those tiny little balls in sugary substance that come in packets inside stuff to keep them dry - he is fine thank goodness. Then I was trying to call the poison hotline and was holding him on the bed and he got away from me and fell off the bed. What a day! Lots of crying but all fine now. DH called me back before I got through to the hotline to say its fine, it will just make him a little dehydrated and maybe give him an upset stomach. Just monitoring him now.
So this is how he got hold of the silica stuff - I had an old barocca tube and thought I was clever by putting raisins in it, then he plays with it and shakes it and when he gets the lid off he can eat the raisins right? But he chewed through the lid and on the inside of the white plastic is the silica stuff! Moral of the story, don't try make your own toys/ /snack pods from household stuff, you never know what might be dangerous to your child! I mean honestly, I thought with the tube being empty it was harmless. Just shows you
