Lucy - I so envy you your long bouts of rest - i dont seem able to rest - have this frenetic energy to keep going and get done - no energy but nesting has seriously kicked in with me - Oh do enjoy your sleep!

Eve - thats a great plan!
Dont let the painter walk all over you! I would have been just as mad!

Hi Ladies

Havent chatted for a while. Frantically trying to sort through everything and I have a feeling Im running out of time! 35 weeks this week and I get the feeling baby will be here at 37 weeks like keelie was.

A fabulous hi to all - hope you're all doing great!

Everything is sooooo incomplete, but Im seriously not stressed over that - just that my family is sorted for my time in hospital so Ill have to start prepping some freezer meals etc. Do a huge shopping so that no one has to do grocery runs etc etc! And right in the middle of Winter holidays - I know my kids are really hungry then!

Hey Eve

Yip my DH is doing same. Taking 1 Annual leave day for the C Section. Then his Family Responsibility and other Annual Leave will start on the day I come home. He will come through every evening to be with me in hospital. But i would much rather have him home with me for 2 weeks instead of 1 week.

So makes sense to me too.

Ladies I didn't realize I could SLEEP sooo much. All in nap bursts, but still its never ending. The nice thing is since spending soo much time lying down, my cankles have disappeared and I am not as swollen!!! Yeah! Although I have completely lost appetite, so dont know if this is a new pregnancy symptom of 38 weeks??? Even when I do eat, I puke (SORRY TMI), if I eat too much...

Hey ladies

My brother's girlfriend gave me some great advice on Friday.

DH was planning on taking his leave from the day I go into labour but we have now decided that he should only take it from the day Connor and I go home - that way, he will have more days at home with us.

DH works in Town and the hospital is in Town as well so he can always come through during his lunch break to visit his baba.

Just thought I'd share this with you because it wasn't obvious to me :)

Have a great Sunday!!

Hey ladies

I had such a shitty day!! Painter came to do Connor's room and ended up leaving after 4 hours because he said he had somewhere to be. He painted 3 1/2 walls (one coat) and started with the skirting boards. He didn't touch the cupboards or the compactum. I was so furious! And on top of that, he expected to be paid a full day's pay. He also made me go out and buy PVA paint because he said the R350 tin of enamel that I bought wouldn't work. Then he started moaning because the PVA wasn't covering the skirting boards. I was livered!!

Now DH has to finish the painting tomorrow.

Epsom salts - I was told to rinse va-jay-jay with epsom salts after the birth to rinse the cut or tear. DH has an open blister on his foot so I gave him some epsom salts in warm water and he almost went through the roof!! How I am supposed to handle that kind of pain if DH can't even?

Hi ladies,

Was so busy at work yesterday that I didn't even get to check in. They also threw me a baby shower at lunch. I was so spoilt, one of the ladies even bought my LG one of those expensive baby gyms. When I go home and DH went to get the bags out of my boot he couldn't believe how many there were!!!

We are going away next weekend down the south coast for our 2nd wedding anniversary/ babymoon!!! We will be 34 weeks and although babe is not likely to come I want to get my hospital bag packed so it can come with us (we will be about 2 hours from our hospital).
I see my gynae on Wednesday for 34 week check up, can't wait to see how big she has gotten as she was almost 2.2kg's at the last visit.

Enjoy your weekend.
