Got sms from Juanita earlier. She is taking Leandi back to dr @ 10. She's got a rash & a runny tummy. Don't know if it's the meds.
Hope Leandi gets better soon. Think of you!

Christiaan was awake every hour last night. Started coughing & had a runny nose this morning. This is not the time to get sick my baby! He is getting christening on Sunday.

Got Lihani's ears pierced on Saturday. Looks so cute. Still have to take a pic, cause little miss don't want to pose for pics lately. Runs away when you pick up the camera. Put some emla cream on and she didn't feel a thing. But she wasn't such a happy baby when I had clean and turn the earings on Saturday night. Now when she sees the bottle of cleaning solutions she runs away & cries even before I touch her ears. But when its over, she's every chuff with her new "belle" as she calls them.

M2B enjoy the week without the boss. Put some pics on from your renovations please. We've also got some painting to do round the house. DH said he will start in the spring. Well it's spring now and no sign of him painting. Think I'm going to get someone to finish the job cause we will have to repaint the whole house by the time DH decides to finish his projects.

Think we've got a leaking pipe in the wall behind the bedroom cupboards cause all my clothes feels damp & have this musty smell to them. Have to get the leak detection guys out this week.

Juanita im so glad she is doing better.

Hospital Food - Every time Amandalynn was in hospital i took her to Louis Leipoldt. they come around with menus everyday and i can pick what my daughter wants to eat. Mediclinic's food was good. have been to Panorama as well and it wasn't bad.

So my weekend.

The kids have been sick since last weekend. On Monday they were weighed, Lorelai is 9.3kg and Amandalynn 16.1kg , Amandalynn has lost 2 kg's since her last visit to the clinic. don't know if I should worry or not. Lorelai picked up weight wonderfully. So sleeping was not part of my week at all. Saturday i took the kids back to the doctor because she is not getting better. they gave me antibiotics. i was hoping that was the end of it.

so the afternoon at about 15:00 Lorelai was burning up, i went home to check her temp and give her something and her temp was 38.67 and then i noticed she has a rash all over her body. called my mom to come and take a look and she said that Lorelai might have measles. lovely all that i need. @ 19:00 i took her fever again an it was up again. gave her more panado it helped but not enough. @ 21:00 i took it again and it was 39.82. i freaked. they say id you take the temp under the arm you have to add 0.5 to have a accurate reading.

We took her to Leipoldt and they said that we have to pay between R640 and a R1240 for them to see us. I HAVE MEDICAL AID, but we have to claim it back from the medical aid. can you believe that!!!! they are crazy. took her to Netcare Kuilsriver they looked at her, gave her meds and confirmed that she has baby measles.

Can the suppositories burn the bum?

Juanita - very happy that baby is fine! I hate hospitals and what you went throught now is exactly what I go through everytime Logan goes to hospital! The food is absolutely shocking in hospital I know! Sometimes they bring Logan Wors??? wtf he doesnt eat wors! I also normally take him food!

Saw on FB that she is now home so enjoy having her back!

Painted this weekend and it feels like I did a marathon! I am stiff everywhere! Who knew painting could be so straining! But it looks very pretty but we are only half way so far! The braai is almost done as well!

Thanx so much for all the sms'e. Such a nice feeling to know there are people out there caring and worrying about my lg.
Everyday is a little better. She still gets fever spikes so they have put her on Myprodol 3 times a day to prevent her from getting a fever again, rather than treating it once its sky high. (only today and tomorrow).
Sleeping on her dads lap now, watching rugby. She is SOOOOO clingy. You cannot put her down for one second or she cries. And somethimes she doesnt even want her dad, just mommy, its totally exhausting. Got myself a nice sleeper couch, havent left her side. Dh brings us everything (half my house is already here ) and im just trying to stay comfy coz i know we will be her for atleast another 3 days.
Got such a shock, we are in a private hospital and the first time it was time for lg lunch they asked if she wants beef and veggies or fruit, i thought, wow, so i said beef and veggies, so they bring me beef and veggies PURITY! I WAS LIKE, WHAT, ARE YOU KIDDING?? Leandi only eats the fruit and most of the times it Olli. i wont give her anything i wont eat myself. So now my mom brings her her mini meals and yogurt and fruit. Jeez like, still cant believe it.
I know everyone is just here to do their jobs but jee wiz, do they watch us and wait till lg is sleeping and then they want to change all the dustbins, clean the floors, do observations?? So irritating, have already chased a couple of cleaners out and asked the nurses to come back later.
Dr only got here last night at 8:30! She is absolutely awesome and im not too fazed that she came so late. Shes already given lg all her meds ect. Just confirmed that she has Bronciolitis which is a virus in the lungs, i think and tonsilitis and ear infection. Gets her physio daily and gets nebulised 4 times a day, even in the middle of the night (luckily she sleeps through it).

Anywho, going to try and catch 40 winks. Will try and keep you guys updated, will probably be via sms.

You can also try to nebulize without the mask. just keep the nozzle close to their nose and mouth. Thats how I did it and I have also been doing it forever! Logan refused to wear the mask but now he is quite comfortable with it. Try it that way, and make a joke of it and sing while u do it. Logan is forever on medication and he opens his mouth for any medication! So easy! Im lucky.
Bismarck is a different story though....

Makro didnt have some thing needed to mix my paint so now Im going to sneak away a bit earlier and go to another one on the way home! Bought Logan's paint for his room and I hope its ok! Will paint it this weekend cause he is at his dad's so makes it easier when he is not there... the room can air the weekend!
