Klk glad to hear he's doing so much better!

Our entire bill goes to the medical aid, but with specialist consults and ECG's our savings is fast depleting and its not even half way through the year! Plus I have to see a dentist asap, and have my eyes tested / possibly glasses.

On a positive note, we got approval from Fedhealth for PMB for Kaylee's chronic care of her heart including the check up and ECG costs. So hopefully we can get them to reverse the portions paid out of our savings to date so we'll have some money back on our MSA.

I have an interview at Nampak tomorrow. Its a job I applied for about 6 weeks ago, and I cant even remember the content of the advert. But glad to have at least some interest!
So up late to straighten my hair and prepare for tomorrow as I never know how the morning will pan out with Kaylee :)

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

Jees Girly, our visit cost us R130 and whatever else will be sent to our medical aid. It took about a hour or so for the doc to see him. (There was a woman there who had tried to commit suicide so she had preference) By the time he saw him Connor was fine. It was like he was never sick. He had drank his cup of juice and had water and had not puked anymore up so we knew he was ok. Got home, he slept for 2.5 hours. When he woke he had some toast and ate most of his dinner. Gave me 2 very loose poo's so I think everything was related to that terrible eye tooth! For his evening bottle I gave him some PediaSure as it has no dairy in it.

He is fast asleep now.

Exciting stuff Lucy, super excited for you.

Lucy yep each ER visit is around R500, same as a paed. Twice in a month makes it R1000!!!
I think you'll be amazed how little sleep you get by on in the beginning. The first few weeks they sleep a lot so take advantage to catch up on yours during the day. At night you'll be waking 3-4hourly to feed her so no more than 2,5hrs sleep at a time which even if you get a total of 7 hours the broken sleep is awful - which is exactly how you're feeling now.

I'll be honest, the end of the pregnancy was really tough on my body. I was on sleeping tablets pretty much the last trimester (was taking half doses) because like you I just couldn't sleep. I honestly dont know how you did it. The swelling was so bad I couldn't walk, and the pelvic pain was something else. But honestly, its all a distant memory and some days I feel ready to do it again :D

Klk we had the same experience with Kaylee about 2 weeks ago, also on a weekend and also landed up at ER for fears of her dehydrating.
It was really weird as she was fine, I gave her a fling - probably the least hectic chip to give - and she started throwing up, about 6 times in one hour. Eventually there was nothing left but she was still throwing up. So off we went to ER (thats R1000 in 1 month in ER bills. They gave her an anti nausea supp and after 30mins we gave her some rehydrate. Once we were certain she was keeping it down we were let go and she was fine afterwards.

The problem is with dehydration you just never know and you dont want to take a chance :( But sadly it costs a lot of money for return visits to ER.

Esmari you have some real talent there, I would most definitely pursue a job from home doing that if I had your skills!

Claire was so nice to see some pics of your bump on fb :)

Lucy less than a week to go! How are you feeling? Make sure to take lots of last chance pics of your bump. You're going to miss it a lot! I still hold my tummy sometimes - just now its round for other reasons :(

Everyone else hey :)

That is a good idea Esmari, its a load of work to do that but it could give you some pocket money.

Spent the morning at the ER. Connor (out of the blue) vomited. He projectile vomited 5 times in 45 minutes and when we tried to give him something to drink he would vomit that up again. I was so worried that he would dehydrate. Got to the ER, by the time the Doctor saw him (hour or so later), he was back to his chipper self. He is sleeping now. Had quite a scare. I just hope it is over.

Good Morning

So sorry for yesterday's quick post. Just as I got busy posting, some friends pitched.

Thanx Klk. I am thinking of doing a cake decorating course. Would love to do wedding cakes. But I heard its quite expensive. Will see when I am in George.

My ankle is really giving me trouble. Today its a week. After saturday's 21st, its so swollen and blue. And last night I was in real bad pain. And to think my gp said it could take up to 3 weeks to heal. Eish, and I am moving on friday. But Im lucky, got lots of offers to help, and last time they did a lot, like hanging cuirtains, and unpacking kitchen, ect. I am so blessed.

Gerhardt's kicks is getting so intense. I can see it on the outside. And he let his brother and sister feel yesterday. But he is laying breech at the moment, face down, so I get a lot of painfull bladder kicks. But I love love it!

Toodles, gotta get out of bed and start packing.
