Ok, 4 cakes in the freezer, now I can relax. It's Lize-Mari's 5th bday today, and we are having a party saturday. Making a pink and silver castle cake. So now my kitchen is a mess, but bugger that! Gonna take kids for milkshake at wimpy after lunch.

Girly, missed you, so happy to 'see' you here. Glad K is doing so great. She is so beautiful. I am having a boy by the way. Think his name is going to be Gerhardt Marius Jacobs. First name from my grandad(dads dad) and middle one is my dads name. Gotta run that past dh first. Hehe. Oh, and thanks for your kind words regards photos. I certainly am blessed with how I put on weight this time. None in my bum and thighs. Jay!

Ladies, I promise I am taking it easy these days. So glad I am going to be rid of this house. At the new house I can just vacuum - or rather kids can. And I am getting a maid over there for once a week.

Angi and Klk. Thinking of you! It will always be sad.

Hi lucy and claire.

Oh, and Sal, congrats!

Gotta run again. Give my bday girl some attention

AFM what a year its been!

K is 7 months on Sunday. She is sitting on her own now. She smiles and laughs and talks a lot! She's enjoying her solids, although now that we're trying to introduce stage 2 purity she's not impressed. And I dont blame her, the stuff tastes awful :(
She's waking up often in the night, at 11/12, again at 3/4 and then 6/7 for feeds. She's regressed, as over Christmas she was only waking up once, sometimes only at 5. Hoping the introduction of proteins will help that, but now she's only taking 2 or 3 spoonfulls while she gets used to the taste.

So she had her operation almost a month ago. We went for our 6 month check up on 11 Feb and doc discovered her BP was very high and could not feel her femoral pulses. He then did an ECG which confirmed that the narrowing had formed again due to scar tissue formation. So on 15th Feb she went for a catheterization (basically an angio) to investigate exactly what was happening and on 16th they operated.
The op went very well. They managed to fix it in the preferrable way. She was in ICU for 5 days and general ward for 1,5 days and then we came home.
We're keeping her home till we see the cardiologist on the 18th March, which will be just over a month since the op.
There is still a chance that it could happen again, it all depends on how the scar tissue grows. I am quite nervous about that, as there is a risk in the operation and the recovery is quite difficult. But we have to trust in the Lord that she will be healed. And give testimony to the miracles already taken place!

So because I'm home with her and not letting her go to the day mom until we see the cardiologist, I am not able to work. I still need to find work asap though but she is sooo busy during the day I dont get much time for that!

And I am 'studying' too. But still havent gotten my tutorial guides from unisa, so I am a month behind. I tried to cancel but will forfeit 50% of the fee if I do so we just cant afford that :(
So now I am using the online guides which is difficult for accounting, as I like to write down notes as I work, but ja, I have 2 assignments due on Monday and not even close to half way through the work! I'm cancelling one module though, just too much pressure on me.

Otherwise we're doing okay :) Trying to enjoy my time at home with K, as its just a matter of time until I wont have this, but its been overshadowed by the op, finding work and studies which really sucks :(

I'm always checking up on you all, in fact I probably spend too much time on moomie for my own good, but I cant help it :)

Angi - I was just wondering the other day, where you had got to. I think it is unacceptable and beyond ridiculous now. What happened about going to see those gynaes in jozi/ pretoria?
You are way more patient than me! I would be institutionalised by now! Take Care Hun these things are so emotionally taxing and draining. How is your DH doing?

Klk - I can't see your chart, just says site under construction. What happened since your spike?

Girly - Lovely to hear from you. I really hope I come right with the BF. I am doing lots of prepping now so hopefully I will come right!

Claire - Brain matter? I reckon my hormones ate up the last brain cell - LOL!!! I live in hope that they grow back after D Day.

Sal - Congratulations, wishing a happy and easy pregnancy!

Hi ladies

Long time no speak. Sorry I've been MIA. Just so much going on right now. I read every day but really dont get chance to reply.

Klk & Angi strongs re the dates of MC's. I was pg last year with my due date but it still hurts. But I know that I wouldn't have my K otherwise so that helps.

Angi you are way more patient than I am. How long ago were you expecting the results? If youve already seen a bill surely it should be ready by now? Sounds like that receptionist is not helping matters. I'd really insist on talking to the doctor. Doesnt she get that you need the closure?

Esmari your sister sounds very strong and with faith. I will pray for her too. Congrats on the girl they are lovely :D
What are you having? I cant remember :( Your pics are beautiful!!! I can see how you won that competition :D You're just carrying a bump, no extra weight, I'm super jealous!
You must take it easy now. No more mass spring cleaning sessions etc. Your baby is doing lots of growing so she will sap your energy!

Claire how are you doing? Can we have a belly pic? Have you chosen a name?

And Lucy ANY day now hey! Updated bump pic please!!!
Are you on ML yet? I cannot believe how quickly it goes! Feels like just the other day you got your BFP!

Klk hope your family is feeling better now. A few months back we went through tummy bugs too. I got it twice. Was absolutely awful. Thankfully K didnt get it. I tell you breastfeeding does wonders to keeping them healthy!
And keen to see what your chart does! You are really doing so well with all the BD'ing!

DebbieF I never said hi when you joined but I did read your story. I'm really sorry for your loss. But as you can see, almost everyone here has gone on to have success, so stay strong. These girls are great, so whenever you need to bitch & moan you know you can count on them.

I read that Sal got her BFP! Congrats Sal :D

Klk I'm sorry didn't mean to bring up memories...
It is frustrating with not getting the results, I got the account for my blood tests and was worried coz I thought it came out of our day to day but luckily it came out of the pregnancy money Medi-help gives for consultations etc...

2 precious angels in heaven...we think and miss you everyday
