Shame Claire - glad your furry child is getting better. Vet's bills are nasty! I know! Problem with Pet Med Aids is that there are often alot of exclusions - like our cat - he has cost us at least 20,000 in his lifetime but because he has FIP they won't cover him.

Klk - Lol! I wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face!

SH - looks like you and I will be trying our luck again in a little while! That BFP is just around the corner!

Shoo Wee finding it hard to get back into work mode. Pressure is on as there are only three months to end of Financial Year and deals need closing! Phew this stress is not going to help the BFP plans!

One step ahead girls, we took out the pet insurance but there was a 14 day waiting period - argh! so next time. but thanks for the suggestions

Klk - so funny about Connor (although my sister said you cannot laugh in front of them) ha ha ha in silence my side ... Fedhealth I think is for if someone drives over your animal? Our insurance also has that.

Wow esmari - very lucky about your healthy doggies! we have never had a vet bill in 8 years like this, but yeah vet says he is goind to be hundreds - I missed him terribly last night.

Oh and i used to have my dog with Petsure, definitely came in handy when she was knocked over. She is now with my IL's so she is their baby now

If you belong to Fedhealth they automatically cover your animals. I think its up to R1500 per pet.

Connor said his first swear word today, I must say that I was taken by surprise so did have a good laugh at it. He dropped his bottle and proceeded to say, "ah f*ck" heehee...DH and I must seriously watch our potty mouths

Have you guys thought about medical aid for pets? Go have a look at www.medipet.co.za / www.medipetsa.co.za Not sure which one it is. Costs only R145 per month for dogs, not too shabby hey!

I'm def out this month for a BFP...got lower backpains and AF cramps...and seems there is a discharge starting. Just made an appointment for the full uterus scan, it will be on Friday 21 Jan at 10h30. Not going to sit around and mope, will get a POA asap so that I can still have my spring baby!!!

Claire, I read on fb about your puppy. Wow, thats a lot of money! But all for a good cause! The only time my doggy needed a vet was for injections! So glad about that!

Regarding gender. I just remembered. The chinese calender is also predicting a boy..... Have a scan at 17wks in feb, so will see what the doc says then. Only seeing private gyni at 23w again.

Uggggh, gave kiddies sandwiches for lunch, but have no idea what I am gonna eat. Maybe some toast and scrambled eggs......

My puppy has been so sick since Sat afternoon so have been exceptionally quiet! we also had the memorial on friday which was lovely and sad. At least Napoleon will probably be coming home today , but vet bill we predict to be about R 3 500 (ouch) so not looking forward to that.

Lucy - you were so right about your baby shower prediction - ha ha ha - so nice that you got so spoilt!

Esmari - yay for 2nd trimester. will watch to see who is correct on gender predition.
