Pregnancy after D&C

I am 33 years old. Had the first 2 mc in 2008 and struggled to fall pregnant.

Started seeing the fs in August this year and managed to fall pregnant in October.

Was on progesterone, cortisone, ecutrin and and an injection for my immune system. Unfortunately the heart stopped beating and Dr said that the head of the fetus was smaller than the body and he thinks that there was some kind of abnormality.

I went for some tests when we started seeing him. All looked ok except that I am insulin resistant. I am on Gluckophage.

Read on the internet about some lining in the uterus that can cause problems. They remove it with a hysteroscopy (spelling). I also had a myoma removed and not to sure if this has anything to do with it.

I will see in January.

Must be honest I am to scared to fall pregnant again because I cannot go through this again.

NBush - My last post must have crossed with yours. Oh dear, hun. This is something no woman should have to go through, let alone 3 times! I think it is a good idea that you are going to do some investigations. Fx that it is something simple to sort out. Take care and if you need to chat etc we are here for you. Sue - So glad you enjoyed the paddling. It is a very good work out, especially if you have to portage (carry it out the water) but I find being on the water so peaceful and altogether good for the soul!

Afm - I am laying the screed and floor in our guest room today (playing hookie) so will be tired tonight!!

nbush, I am so sorry for your loss. I really hope that your doctor is able to find out what is wrong and why you are MC'ing so much. Have s/he done tests on you? Have you taken anything in your previous pregnancies like Progesterone for example? It is extremely difficult thing for any woman to go through, but just know that we are here for you. BEEEEG Hugs.

Lucy, Had O pains yesterday (not sure if I have said this already) so DH and I got some BDing in. I reckon FF will pin my O as yesterday, time will tell. Still felt tender this morning when I was at gym so I jumped DH when I got back so we managed to get another session in this morning before Connor woke up. Thank goodness he is sleeping in lately. I must say it is very difficult to "do it" with a toddler in the house, you pretty much have to plan it around them and then it maybe too late....

Tanasha and Nbush01, so sorry to hear about your losses. Its never easy and you couldnt find a nicer bunch of ladies to help you through it. Just take one day at a time and as Esmari says - cry if you need to! You will be fine for a few days and then all of a sudden something silly will set you off - its normal! Just talk to us and we will get you through it!

Tanasha, I had a D&C - the pain was not that bad and it didn't take long to recover from it - a few days, unfortunately your periods do go a bit out of wack for a while but you will know when you are ready to try again!

Klk - hope those little swimmers had good GPS co-ordinates! Holding thumbs!!

Girls, Tanasha is NOT joining us after all. Her fs saw a heartbeat and dated pregnancy at 5w5d! I am so relieved for her.

TaNasha - I am heart broken to see you here! So sorry, big virtual hugs. I had a cytotec MC and bled for about 2 weeks. Cycles were fairly unaffected after that. I found in the beginning crying and talking about it a lot helped. Talking to real people was sometimes hard so I spent a lot of time here and I feel that these ladies got me through and made me a stronger person. So take the time to process this and heal. We are here for you.

Esmari - At least it is all good signs! Don't work too hard on the house.

Claire - You are carrying so nicely! I am so glad you were spoilt, that is what birthdays are for. I was reading my week 23 thingy and it says that mood swings start stabilising now so you don't have long to go. Hope you manage until then. Take care.

I am new here. Had my third miscarriage on Wednesday and D&C on Thursday.

Feel so depressed just want to cry my eyes out and sleep.

Back at work today. The house is driving me nuts.

Seeing the Dr again in January to do X-ray on my uterus to see if he can find anything wrong there.
