What are these pains at 38 weeks?!

@ Nef.. Yip got your number! And I feel very prepared for the Hypnobirth.. So I am sure I will be just fine!

A question for you though - the pain relief side of things - just in case things do go pear shaped! I am not keen at all on epidurals for the fact that I'll be flat on my back and immobile! Pethidene knocks baby out too and Gas can make you feel nauseaus. What would your suggestion be on the options available here!?? Bite hubbies arm??? LOL!!!

Period type cramps sound promising - it won't be terrible, you've worked for it not to be!

@ Julzdylan - I've had period like cramps since yesterday - but nothing too terrible just yet... and nothing regular either...

Beansmom my labour pains were like really bad period pain and not really shooting pain. Almost like what you would get if you had a tummy upset only lower.

It won't be long now. Very exciting indeed. xxx

Shooting sensations are more likely to be nerves, the baby pushing on them. Which would indicate she is getting lower!

Thank you everyone - but sadly this morning those pains are all gone! But lets hope it is the cervix ripening getting ready for Bean to arrive... Actual DD is 24 April - Saturday! Was so sure he/she would arrive before then!
