Hi Ladies, its awfully quiet up in here, I thought I was gonna find a few pages to browse through

Ntoko, we are so much alike, I hate asking DH do do something even if its for OUR baby , I just go out and get it myself coz I hate repeating myself asking the same thing 10 times and getting the same response.
Have always been independent, it was a hell of an adjustment when we got married coz then I had to learn to be submissive and this to a woman who has done things her own way for years. My hubby is very particluar concerning culture and I just have to ride the wave, so when he tends to refuse to buy something, I back down for the sake of peace.
As for getting to the till, if he refused to pay, we would`ve both been embarrased ( Oh earth open up and swallow me)

Ntoko, let him buy , I mean this is his baby as well, If you let him slide now he might think that you are capable of running the show on your own and just back out( Not that I`m saying that he will). Even if you are in a position to provide everything for your babygirl, I feel that he should play his part finacially

phephe i agree with you, i've noticed eg.Edgars baby grow are much smaller when compared to Ackermans, not taht i've bouth abything already but i've seen the difference...

Indeed its a blue Monday for everyone i am so tired cant wait to get home and rest...

Any upcoming baby showers? I will be attending one in Sunnyside i just have to get someone to go with and drive me i get so lazy sometimes.

I wonder where is everyone else today. Must be a blue Monday.

Anyway i just need to finish up with buying stuff for the hospital bags, then start buying all baby stuff & clothing.

you know when buying baby clothes i have noticed that shops like Edgars, Woolies mainly my baby has outgrown the clothes quicker than the Ackermans clothes,for some reason Ackermans clothes tend to be bigger sizes although they say 0-3months it looks like 3-6months compared to Edgars and woolies.

i'll start buying now, wont wait for BD anymore i'll do it on my own, i'll be the clothes and he can buy the car seat, cot and the other expensive staff, cause if i have to wait for him i'll regret it later i dont want to stress when i go on my maternity leave in September

@Ntoko its never early to start buying for little one, i suppose best time is maybe to start buying from 6months especially your big things cause when baby is here trying to balance things aint easy, or rather buy the expensive things first...

jade101 - Shame poor hubby Imagine if he made an excuse while at the till Anyway, good thing that you got what you were looking for.

capiteca - Its never too early to start buying. Look at me now, im left with 2 months, going on unpaid leave and Bd hasn`t bought a thing. So if i started early, i wouldn`t be worrying. But have decided to do my own thing and not ask(Im bad like that) I just refuse to ask. So will just get on as if im on my own. If i get something from bd & his family it will be an added bonus to me not something i expected Besides its easy to get helped when you are married that when you are just girlfriend & boyfriend.
