I really want to insert the mirena/ copper IUI or whatever. Imagine if robot stopped turning red!

Is it painful to get it inserted?

Yes it does. The 1st month I spotted after inserting it, then I was a bit late. But from there everything is fine, and it wasn't that much of a flood. I heard that for some people the robbot stops turning red, my GP told me the same thing also (I had my IUD inserted in a GP's office instead of a gynea).

@ Wildcat2, I have a copper IUD. It was cheaper than the mirena, last about 5 years and I can take it out whenever I want to try for LO2. So far so good. By the way, the robbot was not red when I had mine inserted, and that was 5 months ago.

I saw the drama,hectic stuff,mara some ppl can be jajarag at times ,wow El ur hubby is determined,i am def going for the mirena,just not sure if the robbots should be red first or not,will have to call my gynae and enquire,but i cant wait hey,i totally can see a diff btwn wen i was not using the derpo and now,the diff is the fat

Anyway, ya wildcat, I've also been wondering about the mirena...but eish, DH so wants another baby... I've been saying I definitely don't want one yet, but maybe I can fall preggies beginning of 2012? Eish mara kids are so expensie! Will think about it. I also don't like pills cos i forget them and used to use i depo but now I'm afraid of having trouble when i want to conceive again. Eish mara, being a woman is so hard sometimes.

Anyway, so looking fwd to MJ's party. Will FINALLY get to meet some of u!

Some ladies on the forum were talking about getting tubes inserted,who did?i was on the derpo,now i want to change,i think it's true it does make one fat i dont want to go on the pill,will totally 4get them,i knw,so i was thinking of the "mirena"it costs R6000 and lasts for 6yrs and my med aid does cover it,those who had the tubes inserted,what are they called?how long do they last?
