Hi Huggles

With baby nr1 we baught a very nice sleigh cot just because it looked nice let me tell you our LB only slept in it for a very short time as he started bumping his head (had bumpers on) and he just didn't like it. So we baught a camping cot and he so loved it in there, so much space! I actualy think that it was easier taking him out of the camping cot than the wooden cot as you just lift them out of the camping cot and with the wooden you have to lift them up and then over?

For baba nr2 DH baught a new Graco camping cot and I still have this big white elephant standing in my garage and I so want to sell it but no luck yet!

This is what it look like...

I prefer a camping cot as it takes up less space and you can take it along when going away. I also used a carry cot inside the camp cot for the first couple of weeks.

Hi there

We bought a campcot to use in the beginning and seen as we go and visit the grandparents alot we have to take a cot along. THEN we saw this nice special on a wooden cot, bought it, used it for 2weeks and then realized that our baby keeps herself awake by kicking the side of the cot. Or she bumps her head on the side the whole time cause she sleeps very 'rough'. SO we're back to using the campcot and the wooden cot is a big ornament :) I also struggled with the wooden cot seen as the side makes a hectic noise when it slides down and I can't reach to put baby in the cot without the side down.

I have a real cheapie from toys are us. It is quite nice though and it does have a soft base that can be place quite high but that is the only option. High or really low.

Keep in mind that the new cots don't all come with sides that can be moved for safety reasons and I am short so I still struggle to put Dylan down in the wooden cot as a result but it is easier on my back.

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.

Hi Huggles

I love the look of a wooden cot but ended up getting a campcot for practical reasons.. space etc.

I have been using it for 8 months now with no problems.. yes you have to lean over quite a bit to put LO down at night but it hasn't been a problem thusfar...

Good luck

Mom to a gorgeous boy (4yrs) and due with number 2 in January 2015

I have a graco camp cot, with vibration, night light, sounds, changing station. It has an adjustable base. But only 2 levels.
