hi ladies

well its 2am....... I have hardly slept. I have haemorrhoids that are BEYOND painful. oh my soul I cant sit, stand, sleep, nothing :( I am feeling terribly sorry for myself as nothing is helping. I am desperately trying ice on them but its so cold!
I am thinking of going out to the pharmacy to get something (yes at 2am) because its just so unbearable. I cant believe something so small can be so sore!!

BettyF - DH came back last night - hence the quietness!
Enjoy your coffee ladies - so jealous!
Come let us know how it was!

Tazzy asked me to update everyone. Amelia had to be under the lights as she was jaundiced but she is off them now. Tazzy really struggled as she just wanted to hold her, but was only allowed to hold her during feeds.
Her uterus is not contracting well...so yesterday they gave her Cytotec to try clean out the uterus and get it to contract. If it wasnt any better by this morning then she was going to be going into theatre to have her uterus cleaned (like a d&c)

my friend had to have a caesar...she was not progressing. So after 20 hours a little girl was born weighing 2.7kg :) so exciting!

DH was extra nice last night...hope it lasts. Saw a big change in him. He was very attentive. Holding my hand a lot, holding my tummy a lot. Asking what he can do to help with anything. Says he'll help me finish off my hospital bag (yes 37 weeks tomorrow and still havent packed it really!!)
He is scared of the baby coming! He wants Matt to stay in a bit longer!
well anyway I'm sure he will - I dont feel pelvic pressure or anything...

Hi everyone.

The starlight classics concert was too devine! It was held at Lourensford Wine estate in somersetwest. The had Catherine Jenkins performing and also the guy who won south africa's got talent - he was a street sweeper before wining the competition- and others performing. They were all brilliant and the weather was lovely...

Talking about dreams, I keep dreaming that I am doing a puzzle, but the last piece is missing- then I wake up feeling frustrated lol

Wow Cath Will is beautiful. Looks so different with his eyes open. And yes very alert for a little baby.

Kimika - your sisters daughter is stunning! At least I know there is hope for an ugly baby... But what about a hairy baby? DH is portuguese and I always had this phobia that baby will be hairy - lol. Oh well thank goodness for electrolysis, veet, wax etc. Phobia was great with Matthew, when he was born I was so pleased that he was not hairy, although he did have a stray hair behind his ear which made me nervous. It disappeared after a little while, and no ladies I did not pluck it :silly:

Kimika you are very brave to jump in and stop the dogs fighting. It would scare me to bits. I am an animal lover, but am quite petrified when show their teeth or growl. I think it stems from childhood, my best friends parents bred dobermans and one snapped me on my bum.
Hope you are not too busied and your milk to full capacity. Put your feet up and rest.
Re the dog collar, someone phoned in 5 fm yesterday and advised Gareth Cliff to get his puppy a dog collar, not one that shocks, but that has a calming effect on dogs. I can't remember what it was called, something like the good dog collar.

Faw - strange that DH sent you a copy of your Summons. He shoul have let you have a Notice of Intention to Defend. Have a look towards the end of the Summons Form, there may be a space where he put this information in in pen and signed it?
I think it's best that you don't see him, especially since you say that one kiss etc and the muslim divorse is reversed.

Joli - again such a beautiful picture of Callum! Definitely making me broody..
Sorry to hear about your Uif trouble. I had very bad experience with uif with my first baby, so this time am going through an agency. Am hoping it will be better this time around. I paid them yesterday, so will begin the process of completing the forms etc. And they gave me a discount because I am having baby at medi clinic.

Meags- how are you? You were very quiet last night....

Will see some of you later at the mug and bean!

Hi All. Sorry no personals really - tried to read through all 6 - 7 pages I've missed!

Faw - so sorry about your granny :-(.

Cath - little William is really gorgeous.

Kimika - you niece is too cute. When I was 11, my eldest sister had a baby (the baby is 23 now!) and I remember when we went to hospital, there were 3 babies - I looked at them through the glass and the one baby was really very cute and the other one was cute and the one was really ugly. So I stood there, praying that the ugly one mustn't be my sister's baby and then they came to pick her up to show us - and it was the ugly, so what did I do? I started crying!! Shame and today she's a gorgeous young woman.

Girls sorry I'm so quiet, but things are really hectic. I've been to UIF twice and both times they want something else from me. Now they want information from 8 years ago when I first claimed with Kayla. I need to change my surname at bank (it's still my maiden surname which wasn't a problem when I claimed with Megan), then sat at bank for 2 hours and still couldn't change my surname as they wanted the original mariage cert - I had a certifite copied with me, my ID (old and new surname) - and they only tell me after 2 hours of sending me around! Then they won't accept my UIF without Callum's b/cert and each time I call the hospital they tell me they will send me an sms when it's ready. Yesterday I demanded to speak to someone and then they told me no there's a problem with the form - I must come and resubmit! And I try to do all these things in between feeds, so I can be back home when Callum needs to feed. It's really tiring and on top of that Kayla and Megan must be taken to all their extra murals etc. etc. etc.

Shame Kimika re the milk. You can buy a herbal remedry from the chemist to increase your milk. It's small white tablets that you dissolve under your tongue. Dr. prescribed it for me with other tablets after Callum was born.

Well I'm off to bed. Got 2 shoots this weekend and Sunday (after my shoot) we are driving to Middelburg (2 hour drive) to go see my sister. Can't wait. I've seen her about 6 months ago!

Oh ya - Karin enjoy your last weekend being preggies! Remember to take a pic just before you go to hospital!

The latest pic of Callum :-)

Hi girls.
My granny will be buried after next week as my aunt is trying to the as much of the family here as possible and a lot is overseas.. We are spread all over on almost every continent.

Im ok with that today, but still very stressed. I give you one guess as to who is stressing me out. He sms'd to ask if we gonna meet tomorrow and i said no, my gran died and im not going anywhere.. A little lie, but i couldn't care. Then he sends me this long sms about how he loves me and wants me back blah blah blah. I didn't bother to reply. Then my mom checks the letter box and there is a registered letter for me. I went to the post office. Its a photo copy of the summons i sent him. I don't know why he has sent a photocopy of his summons. I don't know if its meant as a joke or what. So on tuesday, its the earliest i can get to court ill go and tell them he has sent me a copy and i want to know when they plan on letting me know about a court date or find out whats going on..or should i rather leave it and wait years for something to happen. Im probably stressing for nothing. Eish.
I also have my bro in laws wife at me because she wants to register my car in someone elses name, the car payments were taken over and the car has been paid so i have got the log book. I refuse to send it to him because i want mY stuff back first, but i looked at the papers from the bank and it says that it has to be registered at the same traffic department where i get the annual licence from..so surely that would mean i have to put it in my name first before it goes in their name? If that is so its a problem because the bank papers are in my old name and the traffic department has my new name and we are still waiting for the confirmation letter from home affairs. As it is my drivers lic is on hold til i produce that letter. Eish.

Lucy I soooo empathise re the heat!! It seems neverending!

LOL :) what I mean re preferring my body now is that it's one of my affirmations - I beleive strongly in affirming what you want - i.e. sending out positive messages to universe.

So for example I affirmed "I give birth quickly and easily to a healthy happy perfectly formed baby boy in Feb 2011" (you got to be specific) and I also affirmed ALOT before during and after the c-section that "my body heals quickly and easily" and now I'm affirming "my body is better than ever following the c-section operation" and it's working in that I'm losing the weight very quickly (I put on 12 kg's but was overweight to start with) except for the flap at bottom of stomach lol I don't even mind it abs workout will take that away in no time! :) And my waist seems smaller than ever! could be beacuse my boobs are so massive LOL but my body REALLY is on the path to looking better than ever and that's the affirmation I've been saying and that's how I'm feeling! :)

Thanks Schatsie re comments re Will soon I'll be ooh-ing and aah-ing over yours! :)Kimika your niece is exquisite what a beautiful little fairy! I can't believe it about the dogs OM I am TERRIFIED of dogs I would've just died, good thinking re the doom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

W waking up, dh home bit early from work I've 'allowed' him time on the x box as a treat first time since W been born shame.

Faw - My sincere condolences. Grannies are special people and it is never easy to say goodbye, no matter how old they are. I have also named Tessa after one of my Grannies, she was nicknamed Tess!

Karin - I agree with who ever said such a neat bump. How awesome for 39 weeks. Good luck for your busy weekend and hope you don't have any early surprises!!

Meags - DH needs to get to that doctor and start making good on his word. You should not be dealing with this at this stage of your pregnancy! That lady does sound totally amazing ..... how often does one have triplets naturally??!!! Must be rare.

Schatsie - Wow your tummy and Arno have grown, how awesome!! Isn't it funny how it all happens in sudden spurts. I've been like that too. Sorry about the pain :(

Kimika - Oh dear about your poor doggies and your milk. Can you not call that consultant you saw and ask her for some tips on how to get your milk supply back! Please try avoid that eglonyl at ALL costs!!

Cath - Very alert !!! Wow so handsome and he looks wise!!! Oooo I also want my baba now. May I ask what you mean about you prefer your body now?? I need inspiration, I also think I am going to be one of those that loves NOT being pregnant.

My post just got interupted by a very long call from my boss and I can't remember all the other comments and posts and i can't scroll more. Sorry!!!

Well I am dying in this heat ...... over 40 in the sun and not a breath of air to move the heat or humidity. My ankles are bigger than pork sausage pies and my toes look like cocktail sausages that are about to burst. My hands won't even close into fists and my veins look like they are from a horror flick. Maybe I should audition ...... he he he!!

Oh Meags - So glad that Matt also moves vigorously and your belly jumps about too. You never want to ignore advice but you can't panic over everything either. Guess that will be the balance we will try to figure out for ever now as Mommies :P

Ok Im back .. sorry got interupted by alittle hungry mouth :) Ok now I need to figure out where I was and what I was about to say?

Meags, yayness on your friends baby arriving.. sure its making you even broodier :)

Cath, I get what you say about now seeing them and feeling more in control over your baba. Glad you are doing so brillaintly well after the birth.. helps not to feel horrible hey :) Ag man he is so cute with his eyes open!!!! Adorable!! I also realised how difficult it is to get them in an awake photo! Although I want him sleeping when we do our shoot with Joli ;) Oh and hey Reuben has the same little outfit, going to wear it tomorrow for my brother's fiance's kitchen tea. Yip, he looks very alert and awake .. beautiful!

Schatsie, here is my sister's *ugly baby* I just love her to bits and have always said that if I never have a girl then Im stealing her. This pic was taken in aug on her 5th birthday. :)

Girls for those of you that havent seen.. Im running a competition with giveaway goodies in competition thread... go enter!!!

Yesterday we had the worst experience!! My female staffie and my mom's boerboel attacked each other!!! They really hate each other and Im sure they are fighting over who is the alpha female :( They were fighting for about 15mins that we couldnt get them off and away from each other!! It was sooo horrible! We sprayed them with hosepipe, hit them with brooms.. we even threw hot water on them and then eventually sprayed them with doom!!! It sounds horrible but hell we didnt know what to do. They gagged from the doom and as they released their grips I pulled the staffie away by her tail... and in the event flew threw the air and landed on my tailbone :( They arent hurt badly, lotsa little holes and scrapes and limps but they are ok. Me on the other hand has a blue tailbone, skinless (I fell out off my pants!!!), my one finger has no skin on the side and Im full of blue marks. And worst of all I think I scared my milk away.. my boobs are all floppy and I can see Reuben is hungry.. he keeps wanting to drink every 2hrs and doesnt seem satisfied after his feed.. ag drat :( So Im eating extra, drinking lotsa fluids and rescue rememdy.. wonder how long it will be for milk to come back to full capacity???? And what are we going to do to keep the dogs from fighting?? Its the second time in a month that they did this. Do you think I should get one of those electric shock things you use for self defence?
