CathM - how are you coping now taht your mom has left? At least she lives nearby...my mom is a 45 minute drive away! Glad your little chap is looking healthy and putting on weight! :) Yay that your stomach is already quite flat!!!!! :woohoo: Ya the CT heat has been a killer! (at least lucky schatsie has aircon in her room!!). Tuesday and wednesday night i stuggled to sleep....think a lot had to do with the heat! It was much cooler soutsid eso kept on taking midnight walks around the garden much to the joy of my cats. YOU JUST SOUND LIKE SUCH A PROUD HAPPY GLOWING MOM......you make my waitig for my little one evn harder hearing how happy you are (sure the crying is justa bit of hormoones)

FAW - sorry about your granny. Wow 94...that is a grand age! I had a great gran you lived to 101, but lost my granny at 63. You must be heartsore. Re your dad, i think that it is for the best to put him in a home. He sounds like he is causing a bit of stress in your mom and yours lives. Its always a hard dicession to make (we had to do the same for my great gran) but think it is for the best in the long run. Oh you must be a prous mommy now that Suli is wanting to wear his training pants! LOL you just get one outta nappiues and then get a new one into nappies!

Kimika....lol at hubby and breastmilk...sure mine will be the same! So you can be innocently lying in the bath and breastmilok can start to squirt out??? Us newbie moms will be experencing first tim ethings everyday I am sure!!! Yay that moomie is here to help. LOVE YOUR ANGEL KISS RENAME...sweet!

Schatsie....
I am sure you were not an ugly baby!!! WE are always to critical over pics of ourselves! Bet your mom never saw you for the first time asnd thought YUCK! After all you have been through when you first set your eyes an little A your heart is going to melt!

Tazzzy - SOOO glad that you had a great birth experience
:):):):):) wow that is fast to be up and bout after birth! Hannah must be thrilled to have a new sister (i have a sister an dalways think sisters have such a special bond)

ClaireC - sorry never heard of placenta splitting in 2!...YAY your little one also over 2kg mark now! Know how you feel...i was thgrilled when heard i was 2.5kg..puts me at ease as well just
"incase" anything happens and bay comes early.

Meags - animalos are wonderful creatures...our 2 cats sleep in their bed or at the bottom of te spare bed, but When DH is away on business they always come and sleep on our bed! I love it. I really do love my kitties!! Was thinking last night how i must not neglect them when baby comes...dont want them feeling rejected. Re your DH...gosh it really must be tough on you. I find sometimes just writing letters and not even giving it to the person helps deal with feelings....as somebody mentioned. He is not a student anymore....drinking in bars and ignoring your sms's/calls is JUST PLAIN WRONG! When is he off te hmeds? Or coiuld he not try a differnt one? He is making baby steps bysaying will try be home eraluer for baby etc but as we all know a newborn puts a HUGE STRAIN an dchange on a relationship....so it needs to be solid to start off with. Maybe the 2 of you need "date" night? A night a week when its just the 2 of you...no tvs, cell, laptops....jsut proper time together...amybe try something like that with him? Re the mom with so many kids...HOW DOES SHE FINANCIALLY SURVIVE? I mean surely she must have help from family or something? Can you imagine any of us having our first child at 17...then 6 later.........we would be living in a shack and begging at the robots....where is all the money coming from? I owuld love 6 kids....but one is so expensive...

BerttyF - where is the concert?? It sounds lovely! The carnival was really fun...a sober one...which makes a change....we go every year (a little tradition DH and i have) and normally "drink our wy around the world"...so this year we ate a lot more! Had yummy dutch stuff (please excuse spelling)...poffertjies (which are like mini flapjacks but light like pancakes...with butter adn icing sugar, apelflappens (apple rings kinda cooked liek koeksisters) yummy crouqet things (cheese / beef) crumbed and deep fried....and eisbein and sausages....Oh myh gosh I ate way way to much!!! Was nice walking around and DH and I had a great time. Was funny as lotsa women pushing around prams and was thinking that will be me next year!

rakker - agreee! Wish i knew the date! I do not even have a previous birth as a yard stick! CONGRTAES ON REWARD!!!!!!!! CRappy about car - ya i needed 2 new tyres...R1620 :(....but want my car in top condition for baby!...and ya also 4 months unpaid maternity leave here :(

Emsmom - lol at baby turning into goat...ya Gynae tol dme that I may start having some weird / disturbing dreams from now and taht it is compkletly normal!

KarinM - wow sound sliek you have a busy last weekend of been preggies!!! Nice that you have help arriving on Sunday! Nice t osee some belly pics again afetr all the baby pics! LOL was just thinking we should all post belly pics every month afetr birsth to see the "after effects" and how quickly we shrinking, not growing!

AFM.....well I am the disignated driver tonight for a wake (the funeral i went to on Monday)....kinda sucks big time as its at a rugby club...so u can imagine the drinking that will bve going on! It starts at 6pm adn said i do not mind doing it but am NOT LEAVING LATER THAN 11! All say fien, but just know that it will be later (how do you get drunk people leave a party?. The person who passed away is a family friend of DH, but was a very socail person (he actually had a heartattach and died in the pub mid drink)...so can just imagaine the party tonight.....

Besides that YAY....3 weeks of work left......yay :):). Want to put the finishing touches to the nursery this weekend as well. Want it all perfect and bags fully packed at least by 35 weeks.

YAY 33 weeks today!!!!!!!!! Love reching these milestines each Friday.

Looking so froward to tomorrow....how will we regocnise each other? Well just look for the big fat pregnant women...that will be me! Cant wait to meet my CT mommies fro coffee (well i have gone off coffee it will probaly be mikshakes for me!) Have a great weekedn ladies and Hi to all i missed!

Morning girls

My brain feels fried this morning - I slept very badly, must've got up 5 times and then couldn't sleep again, so I don't know if I can do any personals. Had a lot of pain again when I got home last night. I think sitting at the office the whole day is just too much right now. Shame DH wanted to go out for ribs (his favourite), but I really didn't feel up to going out, so we didn't. I really could not have asked for a more considerate, understanding, loving hubby!

Misty, how was the CCC? We always used to go and spent a lot of time at the Dutch and German stalls, but I haven't been there in a few years because it just got SO busy and I don't really like crowds anymore.

KarinM, min dae vir jou! Your last weekend of being preggies!

Kimika/Emsmom, I keep on forgetting to ask, is Emsmom's due date in March or April? It says April in the 1st page list, but is listed among the March dates, so I'm confused. :)

Meags gee, that woman with the 6 kids is unreal!! I have a friend who lives in the US who has 4 kids already and I thought she was crazy, but 6!!

I really do hope your husband gets a wake up call now! Let's hope telling him that you are thinking of leaving him does the trick! You really do deserve better and believe me, after a previously VERY unhappy marriage I have found real happiness now, so I know it is totally possible!!

I'm 32 weeks/7 months 2day and have 7 more weeks of waiting for our little miracle to come. Here is a pic we took last night. I'm really getting very round suddenly! :) My friend asked me for pics on FB last night, so hubby said we need a larger camera. :)

I'm definitely still on for coffee tomorrow at 12h30 - looking forward to meeting the CT moomies!!

KarinM, I expected a much bigger bump. Not saying it is small, but I thought at 39 weeks it would be much bigger. You are carrying neatly (can I use that expression?). Min dae!!! Can imagine the anticipation and anxiety and excitement :side: !

Morning ladies.

Meags - WOW... Respect to that lady with the 6 kids... It takes someone special to deal with all that and on her own as well! Is she married?

Kimika - My daughter was born with the same mark on her one eyelid and also in the back of her neck... :) it faded with time and now it gone completely. I also loved the "angel kiss" name its got.

Faw - Im so sorry about your gran hun... she got to an amazing age, wow. She must have had an awesome life. :) May she rest in peace.

Betty - Enjoy your concert tonight! Some quality time with hubby without Matthew, :) Hope you have fun.

AFM: ... wow, can't believe my last weekend preggies has arrived... Feels unreal somehow. Nerves are raw though...
My eldest daughter is turning 11 on Wednesday, so we are having a little party for her this weekend. Need to organise a nice water slide for her and her friends and other goodies, so I'll be kept busy this weekend.
Then mom in law is arriving on Sunday for the birth. She'll be here until next weekend.
Meags ~ guess its bad news for you that I'm still walking around with my little one... LOL ... I tell you, its so frustrating! I've had loads of symptoms, cramps, back ache, heavy contractions lately (BH probably) and STILL I'm not in labour! Very annoying and frustrating.... Well every woman is different, so I hope for you all the symptoms will make M come sooner than the 40 week mark!
