HI Girls,
Sorry I have been MIA, but the phone I am using, its either that or Moomie have not been playing nice. So now I am on my dads computer and doing it this way.

My dad has been in ICU for a week now and will probably be in for at least another week and then go to a general ward and then to a live in rehab centre. They say it will take around a year for my daddy to come right as the stroke was massive. They are teaching him to swallow at the moment as it takes 8 seconds.. in a normal person it takes 1 second. He is progressing slowly but will get there.

AFM I am still working and have swollen ankles. I have started taking that slow mag you ladies were talking about but it hasn’t done anything so I have resorted to Epson salts and warm water and then deep heat which is making a huge difference.

I went to SARS to sort out that it12 story that they were threatening to take me to court over and just as well I went. They owe me around R5000 so I am a very happy woman and now I am waiting for them to make the payment. I haven’t made up my mind what I am going to do with the money, but at least its there.

Other than that I am either working or visiting my dad at hospital when I can or being a mommy to my son.

I am very sorry but I have not read the posts as soon as I get the time I will and then try reply.

1st son born 8 april 2009. 2nd son born 10 march 2011. Live in cape town. I got divorced on the 30th of june 2011. Remarried and now happily trying for number 3. www.doulaservices.co.za

Schatsie, Im glad its all over with. Now you just have to wait.. shame, atleast its holiday time so you can put your mind on other things.. or try to anyway. Ill be praying that those results are all good news and that you can from then on enjoy a worry-free pregnancy, you deserve it so much! Happy halfway for today!! Maybe that can be the positive for the day after your horrible experience this morning xxx Take care *hugs*

Tazzy, the facial pigmentation you get with pregancy normally does go away but we have had girls that battled to get it gone completely. We have excellent product for it so Im using that now!!

Karin, haha!! I also get those pins and needles in my hands now and then :) Its sooo weird.. so everytime I think I slept on them but I dont! Maybe its normal :P Is that a new ticker?? Its soo gorgeous!

Meags, ahh your holiday still sounds so amazing! Just pretend you have not a speck of flabbiness and Im sure you will enjoy the hot pools! I also always say Im building up rich milkies for my baba ;)

Ok let me do the scan update :)

My little prince was so cute today that he has really gotten me to become excited about another little guy :) He showed us the most amazing little chubby cheek face and then started to swallow fluid and working his little tongue in and out :) Also we could see little fluffy hair already. He is aprox 1.3kg now, so he had a HUGE growth spurt the last 3wks.. he was 730g with my 25wk scan. There is plenty of fluid so def not worried about that (explains the huge tummy I suddenly have). Also he is really doing his bit and has turned head down.. she said she doesnt think he will turn around again. Oh and he is lying folded double with his feet next to his face too :) Little rascal! And Ive gained 7kg, so not tooo bad.

Dr also did a vaginal swab for streptococus (sp) and said its routine and if they pick it up they will just give antibiotics. If you have it and baby is born with it, it might cause respitarory problems etc. Thank goodness I trimmed the *jungle* just incase she did internal

Now Im even more excited about our 4d tomorrow! Dr said he is lying in the perfect position for a 4d. Hubby is going to love it :)

Ai I'm not so sure if it's the preggy hormones but everytime I read something like Schatsie's posts I just wanna cry. ((hugs)) girl - thinking of you. It's such a long wait now. So what now? Do you have to pay that R7500 out of your pocket? I guess you can't insist it's part of the PMB?? It's a lot of money, but I'm sure will be worth it in the end. Keep still the next two days and try to relax and read a book etc. Easier said that than I know. I think I would have locked myself in my room and cried until the 4th of Jan and just cried some more. Thinking of you.

Meags - I'm so jealous - wish I could go overseas! Enjoy those pools. Hmmm I've got cellulite - pregnant or not.

I also don't have that line this time around. Strange. And yip, I told hubby last night that I am already so uncomfortable and there's still 3 months left! Also got such a shocker today. Went to the shops to try and find a decent costume to wear to the spa tomorrow and then for the holiday in Jan as well. I just wanted a plain costume that covers my tummy a bit and then a bottom short - not panty. But it was really hard to find anything matching that actually fits over my boobs and bum with support. I eventually foudn a top at Foschini but still not bottom - I don't want to wear a normal panty bottom and I need something with lining!

I'm going to use our room to dress Baby B and will use our bathroom as well. So will just heat up the whole area - room and bathroom. Baby B is also going to sleep in our room anyways. I'm not one to get up to walk to another room for feeds etc., especially in winter.

Well my gums are now also getting sore, so will see by next week how sore it is and then will have to go back to the dentist.

Schatsie - ((hugs)) girl! You got through the amnio... that is great, now just to get through the waiting period.
Just keep yourself still and stay in bed!! Rest and sleep and read a book or whatever, but stay in bed for the next day at least! It helped me a lot to do that and it also had the time go faster to get over that critical period of 24 - 48 hours. Don't pick up heavy stuff.

Good luck hun!! Praying for you that all will be well. The waiting is horrible I know... my waiting has now been 11 weeks and counting.... only knowing for sure when my angel will be born as my amnio failed and they couldn't draw the fluid and I refused going back.
Keep the faith and try to relax and enjoy December festivities. XXXX

Meags - Wow those hot pools sound divine. Who cares about the cellulite!!! You have a gorgeous tummy to show off in that bikini! Are you feeling any better from the flu?

Karin - shew sounds like youve got all the aches and pains of third tri already. Im not looking forward to that. Weird about the pins and needles, maybe you slept on your arm or something.

Mistymom - dont work to hard.... and woohoo for your last day at work!

So I survived the amnio. The consultation was actually worse than the test itself, cause she went through all the chromosomal defects, etc. We will only get the results from the full culture test 4 January, but there is a rapid test, which can be done by Wednesday. It is also perfectly accurate, although it only tests for Downs and chromosome 13 & 18 defects, whereas the culture one shows all chromosomal defects. We elected to have both tests done @ a whopping R7500 and my medical aid refuses to pay for it - says it had to come out of my day to day benefits which is depleted.

So now we wait: for the next 24 hours to see whether I have a miscarriage from the procedure and then for the results.

Don't know how much more of this I can handle. I can't seem to stop crying and hubby had to go back to work until tomorrow morning at 3h00.
