hi ladies!

thanks for the info regarding the arnica oil schatsie :) I am not exactly sure which I have as it's not an oiil - it's like a lotion and the pharmacist recommended it?? Will definitely re-check though as definitely dont want to be going into early labour!
2 more days until your results xx

joli - I love your photo!!! perhaps your little girl is walking in your footsteps to be a photographer??

kimika - man...babies can be so inconsiderate sometimes :p hiding away in your placenta!!

EmsMom - good luck with the 2000 cookies! I think I'd eat most of them!

Faw - good news about your dad and I'm glad you're not giving into your husband

Rakker - I flew at 24 weeks and this was my procedure from gynae:
Take 75mg Asprin for 1 week before flying (I broke it down so it was more like 60g though). continue for 2 days after flying.
I bought pressure stockings. had to wear them 1 day before flying and 2 days after.
on the plane, you HAVE to get up and walk and stretch every 1 hour. so no sleep for you!
lots of water

lucy - where is your photo??? I want to see that preggy belly :)

we are off to Ikea today. going to see the type of stuff they sell so in America I can know what type of things to expect to buy for the house.
then visiting my mom's friend who is looking after their grandchild (5 months old)
nose is still very congested and still coughing. but I dont feel sick at least.
then tomorrow off to the heated pools!!!

Hi ladies!

Can't remember everyone's posts, you've been quite busy hey! :)
Just glad all seems well and Meags you enjoying your holiday except that hubby is jolling without you.

Schatsie - hoping these three days goes by very quickly for you with great news at the end of it!
The first time dr. pushed the needle in and tried to withdraw fluid, there was none to draw. Apparently your uterus has two "walls" - the one is thicker than the other. In very few cases the needle goes through the one wall but not the other and then they fail to draw fluid. Second time round when he pushed in the needle, my little one moved in underneath it so they decided to leave it be for a week, gave me the option to go back a week later. I refused. Wasn't going to put myself or my baby through that again.
So yeah, just keeping the faith now and believing all will be well.
It's bad about the blood in your fluid - what did the doc say about it? If he's not worried, then I guess it's fine hey.

KarinM how come your amnio faield and they couldn't get the fluid?

It was rather uncomfortable, but not really sore. It was just worrying that there is so much blood in my amniotic fluid from the bleeding I've been having. They said it looked like tea, instead of being clear like urine.

Meags my dr said Arnica oil is not safe to use during pregnancy.

"The use of arnica during pregnancy is not highly recommended. Though homeopathic arnica can be beneficial for minimizing some pregnancy discomfort, large arnica doses have the ability to stimulate the uterus and spontaneously cause miscarriage or a possible premature delivery. "

AFM, we had a nice weekend, hubby took family responsibility leave so that he could be with me on Friday because I was in such a state. Saturday evening we went to visit friends for a braai and there were lots of kiddies. I had my friend's gorgeous baby boy on my lap for most of the evening and it was SO nice! I couldn't help but hope that everything will be okay with our little boy and I will soon be able to hold him in my arms too! I really can't wait to be a mommy!

3 more days until we get the amnio results! I'm just going to try and stay as busy as possible at work so the time will pass quickly!

Hey Ladies

I'm sorry I dont think I'll be able to catch up on 4 days of personals.

Schatsie, how are you doing love? Please remember to shout if you need to meet up, even if you just want to cry.

Joli stunning pic! So wish you were in CT to do my photos, so seeing that you're not, do you mind if I get my photographer to steal some ideas from you?

Meags glad you are there safe and sound, hope you enjoy evey second.

FAW, lovely about all the good things happening in your life. I wish your dad a very speedy recovery!

AFM, I managed to drive us to PE on friday, we overslept a little, but still I was very impressed with myself as its my first long trip with just me driving. We chose a lovely senic route, and then popped in at a cheetah breeding farm that we love. We got to pet the cheetah again and play with 4 month old lion cubs. Its only R50 for the tour playing with the kitties.
Then on Sat morning met up with an old varsity friend I have not seen since Em was about 3 months old. She now has 2 children! (had none when I last saw her) so was nice seeing them again.
Then the wedding, which was very sweet, but the service was at 3, and the reception at 6, so I actually went back to the hotel to keep my feet up till 5:30 (the service ended at 3:20) But still by 8:30 I was so swollen we had to go home.
DH has been a darling, massaging my feet 3 times a day to try help.
Then yesterday my folks got back!! Was so lovely to see them again! We stayed for supper with them and chatted for a couple hours till we were all almost falling asleep at the table. They bought me some cool Christmas as well :)

Today is our traditional Christmas decorating day! I always decorate on the 13th, and then for supper we have pizza. Got 2 close friends coming to join us, so should be a blast!
I also need to back cookies (at least 2000)for DH's work and our clinics. Going today to buy my russle hobbs cookie press :)

Oh and at the wedding there was a PG women with 3 weeks to go, and she was half my size!! Well I'm accepting now I'm showing big, and you know what my babies are big babies, so I'm happy. Little one has been moving so much its too cute and brings a smile to my face everytime.

It was Em's last day at school on thursday and they had a nighttime picnic, the children did a little song show, Em got her graduating certificate and then Santa came! Was a very teary day for me, esp since I've made friends with the teachers as well. But am meeting on of the playschool moms tomorrow for coffee, so the kiddies will still see each other :)

Anyways, sorry for long selfish post. I hope you are all doing super great!

Hi girls. Trying this dumb phone. I wrote an essay last night and then it refused to send it. Meags thanks for the info i will stop the deep heat. Hope you are having some fun there. Misty i also have hobbit feet so don't worry you are not alone. Wanted to ask you if i can name my son the following or if i have to take the abdul away... Abdul hakeem. My parents were very anti choosing a name for my son cos it was muslim so this time i bought a book with names and left it on a table for them and they sat and looked at names. My daddy liked hakeem so i want to use it, but to be fair my mom likes abdul so i want to use both, but now im not sure i can. Shukran. Joli im sure you can't wait for your holidays and to be done with the photo shoots. Kimika hope all is well with you and i also have the hectic heartburn.. So you also not alone. Schatsie i pray that you get good news on wednesday, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Im sorry everyone else i don't remember the other messages. I can't type and see them at the same time which drives me crazy cos my brain isn't that great. On a happy note my daddy can now move his right leg without any help. He moves it up and down and bends his knees. My husband is begging me again to go back to him and his empty promises, i really am not interested. Yesterday i met a lot of the shokets family, for those of you they own a very nice butchery here in cape town that my mom buys halaal meat from, anyway turns out they have a lot of connections with various organisations and they are going to get me some extra help because they don't have place to employ me. They also know ppl at the mjc and the owner of the butchery insists that before he dies ill be remarried. Lol. He is an elderly gentleman. So once again i realised how blessed i really am.

1st son born 8 april 2009. 2nd son born 10 march 2011. Live in cape town. I got divorced on the 30th of june 2011. Remarried and now happily trying for number 3. www.doulaservices.co.za
