heart Feb-May 2011 Mommies

yip EmsMom I do feel very priveleged :) However, it is difficult to catch the gynaes with a spare moment to quickly do the scan and also equally difficult to get a spare moment to leave labour ward. there is ALWAYS someone delivering and we are not enough staff. I start at 6:45am and usually only get a break at about 3-4pm and sometimes no break at all!!!! so although I am saying I will have those scans, it depends how chaotic the day is!!

Cath I am SOOOOO jealous!!!! I also want to be 1 week further :) cant wait to see your pictures!!!!

Cath, great to hear the scan went so well! You must please post the picture!

Nice that he did all the downs ect. That is pricey, but not that far off from normal.
Sorry about the headache, take a panado before it gets worse. And have a lie down if you can.

Anje sorry to hear about your scare, I hope that you get some rest and that all is well. \

Meags its so cool that you get to go for so many scans!

:woohoo: Hi ladies
The scan was soooo cool! :) Our baby is dated at 11 wks 3 days (!) and due date no 26th Feb - my dh asked why I was so happy with this and I said 1 less week being pregnant and by March 2011 I'll be a free woman lol! :)
Our little baby was SO active! Woke up during the scan (abdominal) and was literally jumping up and down it was the cutest thing PLUS 'waving' his (we think is boy not that it matters either way!) little fingers at us.
I have the BEST gynae, he is actually a fertility specialist at medfem...he is not scared to charge though - R1500 for the scan GULP! But maybe that's normal as he did the downs measurements, folds, fluid, etc etc and all looks good.
I have a blinding headache right now (first headache so far  not pleasant but hope it passes!
WIll post pic tomorrow lovely to hear all the news! Things are moving!!
Cath

Hi Kimika, tx for the concern. Doing well at the moment. As you know had scan on Thursday and about 2 hours later started with Threatened MC. Dr. first thought the blood was due to scan, but after internal exam confirmed Threatened MC. Was in bed the entire weekend. Had no blood discharged since Sunday afternoon and came to work today, but had litte brown discharge about an hour ago. However, it seems I am fine now. What a rollercoaster ride !!

BTW: My EDD will be 27 March.

Good to see you ladies are all doing well. I have decided not to chat here for now, just until I am sure everything is ok, I know what affect negative news can have. So will probably only join you ladies in 5 weeks time if all goes well, but will try to stay updated.

Enjoy your afternoon !!

Jessica you are so lucky to be 10 weeks already!! I'm jealous :P

H-buzz - that is so awesome you saw the heart beating already!!!! For me, it was such a relief. I am so much more relaxed after seeing baby's heart beating :)

Kimika, what kind of things do you bake and how do we get some???????????

Tazzy, so excited for your scan!!! It's nice having everyone's scans at different times, it's like going for my own I'm so excited for everyone!!!

EmsMom lucky you dont have too many symptoms :)

Joli, take a photo of your scan and load it that way. That's what I did.

Lucy, don't worry about your confession!! Ha Ha. I am actually so excited to go through labour and birth. Being a midwife, it just fascinates me how some people act!!!

I have changed my gynae. Going to be seeing Dr Loock from now on. Thinking of telling the old gynae that we are temporarily going overseas to get a house etc and not sure when we'll be back, so will need my results etc to take with...then I have all my stuff for the new gynae. She does know we are immigrating so it is believable ;)
Otherwise I am going to be working in labour ward next Wednesday and the Wednesday after that and plan to do a scan both of those days at work. I am then planning on doing a scan at Genesis with Maryke just before DH leaves for Miami so he can see the baby. I will be 10 weeks then.

Otherwise my next gynae appointment has moved up 1 week. Yay!! going on 13 September
