well she was saying she'd have to cut through one of my tattoos for the caesar and i responded that i was a midwife and would be pushing...so ya, she knows now!

I already had the ante natal bloods done so I was thinking of staying with her for the next scan...which is only in 6 weeks 4 days time!!! and then moving on to another gynae.
So this gynae will do the downs test and I'll get my ante natal bloods. I will just ask her for all my results and explain we are immigrating sooner than expected.
however, I guess I could do that now too?

Nah I think I will stick with her for 1 more visit and then move to the next gynae. I want to go to my friend's gynae Dr Loock at Olivedale. Apparently she shows you EVERYTHING on the scan. all the fingers, creases on the palm, facial features etc.
so that will be nice for the scans after 12 weeks

She didnt actually say much about the cramps just that she'd keep me on progesterone for another month. So basically until a few days before 12 weeks. she says you cant just stop it now. so that's fine with me

Meags - That is awesome! You must be so excited now. Did you ask her about the cramps youve been having?
I hope you dont think Im being rude, but I would suggest you find another gynae if you werent completely happy with this one. You'll be seeing a lot of her in the next 34 weeks. And you do want your gynae to have your best interests at heart.
Does she know youre a midwife?

she asked how much my brother and I weighed at birth. I said 3,4kg. She said that is HUGE for someone my size and then showed me where she'd need to cut me for the caesar!!! haha. I quickly burst her bubble and let her know I'd be pushing

baby measuring exactly as I thought. 6w4days. saw the heart beating

bit disappointed with the appointment.
first she violated me with a pap smear (she couldnt find my cervix...) and then did an internal exam which was SORE because my uterus is retroverted and she couldnt feel without pressing really hard!!!

then she did the sonar and was so quick and just showed us the heart beat, listened for like 2 seconds and it was over?!

anyway I'm glad the baby is doing well
