Joli, I had the same thing with red meat while we were on holiday! I was about 6wks then And we flippen had red meat braai every blerrie day I remember looking at hubbies plate and seeing the bloody juice and wanting to just die! Now Im fine again!

Welcome Anje & Jessica! - LOL we all tend to think our babies will come earlier, but they seldom do! Kayla was born 8 days before her due date so I expected Megan a bit earlier, but she only arrived 3 days before her due date!

With regards to maternity clothes. I don't have any left. I've given all mine to a 16 year old girl who was pregnant so will have to get new ones. And this is my last pregnancy so I don't want to spend too much money. Wrap dresses also works well. And I'm going to try keep my weight down and then use that thingie you put in front of your pants around the button and the button hole so you can wear your pants like that.

I'm so nauseous lately and can't stand red meat! Shame so the family is eating fish and chicken only .

Oh guys the problem with the pants!!! Its a real problem You cant buy the maternity pants so soon as they def wont fit later on, also so many of them has that big belly part that wont fit now cause itll just be baggy ... grr.. frustrating! I bought some pants at Mr Price Sport for R120 that has a soft material waist part that looks like preggie pants but its not, they are very comfy and cheap! You get black and white.

Meags, those things are gorgeous!!! If you guys are lucky enough to move to the US then you are going to have an absolute blast with the shopping!! They have the best and nicest baby things Ive ever seen

And gynae also tested me for the german measels both times, she will tell you if there is a prob and will almost certainly have you go for bloods on Thursday also to check your blood *thickness* Sorry I dont know what else to call it

tazzy i actually didnt get immunised against it. perhaps as a child??
but as a midwife all that was required was heb A and B so that's all i got immunised against!

Think i did have it as a child though so hope it's ok!

h-buzz i only got one cramp yesterday and today. but nothing for 4 days before that. it's like a really bad period pain and it's right above my pubic bone and to both sides

Shame meags, I can relate to what ur saying. Today I have had terrible backache n cramps n last thing u wanna do then is smile n be nice.. But yea see what the gynea says on thu? Ur still having cramps? Is it lower down or on ur sides?

if youve had all your measles shots,which im sure you have being a midwife, then you shouldnt be in any danger. I would try stay clear of sick people for a few weeks though.

You'll have a german measles blood test at around 12 weeks to confirm whether you are immune. With my previous pregnancy mine came back negative, so I was super paranoid about picking it up. But after breastfeeding my LG I went and had the MMR shot agin. So I know I am safe this time!

oh yes forgot to say...
My neighbour has measles!!! she is 4 years old and since I am the local nurse, they came to me for diagnosis. A few days ago she just had fever and cough and I was playing with her but yesterday the rash came out. I really tried not to touch her. Just took her temp and then washed my hands and thermometer thoroughly.
EISH!!!!!
