I work for a big-gish company, and the staff there has become very narfi towards my pregnancy [even though i'm 15 weeks along] I've spent most of my days in the bathroom with all-day-sickness, and been booked off quiet alot for stress and need bed rest, now i've got no more sick-leave due to me due to the fact that I was in hospital 4 times last year.

Can I be dismissed because the doctor keeps booking me off?

Plus they've become very cheeky and said i must schedule all my scans for after my work time.

What foot do i have to stand on?

Advice please?

Aribeth, I have send you a PM with my e-mail address. Please mail me the info!

The CEO has phoned me earlier today and wanted to know whether my leave has been sorted.

He insist that he will sign off everything and that I will have some leave left over.

Pity I won't be able to hear HR's reaction to this. CEO wants to sort this out himself and I should just leave it.

Dammit, I was preparing for a nice battle. Guess it is back to fighting with HUbby then...

I had the same issue. Law says you still accrul leave. Whats your email, i'll send you the doc. My work didn't want to accrul my leave and i sent them the info. Annual leave is accruled when normally employed. On maternity leave you are still full time normally employed, you are simply exercising your right to take leave.

Slice, maternity leave is usually unpaid leave, by law you are allowed a minimum of 4 months unpaid maternity leave. If your company usually gives paid maternity leave, they may moan about it, but if you contract states paid maternity leave, they will have to pay you, unless there is a clause that states for instance '2 months paid maternity leave will be granted once every 2 years'. If it just states that you will receive 2/3/4 months paid (or half paid) maternity leave, then that should be applied to each pregnancy doesn't matter how far apart.
