Our little princess was born last friday, via c-section. I received a huge bunch of red roses, with a beautiful card and the most beautiful pearl necklace and earrings!!!!!

Gotto love 'tradition' in hubby's family......his dad also gave his mom pearls (ring) when they had my hubby.

You guys really got me thinking now....I'm gonna have his wedding ring engraved. And when he returns to work, have a snack basket delivered at work, with a coffe mug with Izibella's picture, a photo frame with photo, and some lekker snacks.

A friend of mine told me about a woman whose gift for giving birth depended on how loudly she screamed during labour. The more she screamed the bigger the gift was.

Me thinks I'm owed some diamonds...

Oh boohoo, now I'm wondering if I didn't get anything because I had a c-sec Perhaps hubby felt just like me, that someone else did the 'labouring'

Marijke - hhhhmmm I have the same raised eyebrow to customary. However my friend got the most divine ring when she gave birth to her first daughter ... and then her husband bought her a car when she gave birth to their son.

I think I got a bag of Chuckles ... but I did treasure those until I ate them.
