Hey Ladies.

Googlebug: Thanks for the list of Parklane goodies to take with. I'm pretty sure I missed that list too somehow. ALTHOUGH porridge brain struck at 1 day pregnant, so its possible I did have it and forgot about it. I also bought the R220 Netcare bag from the pharmacy. Just didn't have the inclination to try shop around to find everything that they said was in it.

Maryke: My pregnancy has been pretty good. Had slight hiccup at about 16 weeks with some bleeding, but after some bedrest, everything was fine. Taking strain with the swollen feet and hands at the moment, and discovered one of those "belly support bands" early on in pregnancy so my back is OK'ish... I have off days where it hurts like all heck, but mostly its alright. Today is one of those offish days... But I hopefully don't have too long to go, so am hoping any day now I'll have the babies... So excited. Sorry, don't know if I missed it, but do you know what you're having. Am super excited to be having 1 girl and 1 boy. But must admit, I wouldn't have minded 2 of either. Just blessed to have had such a good pregnancy with no complications. Take it easy though, carrying two bubs takes a lot out of you. So take it easy... And if doc said bedrest... BEDREST... :-)

Wonder how GML is doing today? her last post mentioned shooting pains and jelly discharge...

Hi everyone

Its great having so much activity in this December chatroom, wow, its never been this busy.

Lina, I got your inbox msg but then GML suggested that I post here so everyone can see. Parklane's list wasn't the most detailed, but this is what it says:

What to bring for admission:
- medical aid card
-ID
-maternity passport and authorisation number
-tolietries
-any routine medication
-pajamas
-clothing for baby on discharge.

Over and above that, they list the bag that you can buy from them for R220 (I bought this in advance because I am paranoid) which according to the list contains:

- 1 netcar standard bag
-24 carriwell pads
-2 stretch pants (by this they actually mean disposable panties)
-12 freedom maternity pads
-10 6 ply linen savers
-1 cotton wool roll
-1 bennetts aquous cream sample
1 pvc drawstring bag (this was just a clear plastic bag with the baby toiletries in)
-1 50 ml surgical spirits
-1 pack netcare baby wipes
-1 75g Bennetts bum cream
- 1 300ml J&J top to toe wash
- 1 500g aqueous cream

Maryke, nice to get updates from you, sorry to hear about the complications.

Fancyface, the stories about your kids always crack me up.

GML, I really have a feeling your baba will make an appearance soon!

SJJ, I'm also worried about not knowing when labour hits. As for wearing slops in a corporate environment, I've been getting away with it (I just wear nice feminine blingy ones so they look less untidy).

Suhaila, I also liked the name Mikail and hubby didn't. Can't remember all of our boys names but some were Zameer, Uwais, Razeen, Nameer, Faraaz, Mu-eez, Zain, Shezaad.

@ Champers: if it helps the newbies are Lina, Sjj and myself. There is one more moomie from a few pages ago.

@Sjj and Lina, no pets for me, I'm a bad asthmatic, the most I've had were gold fish and they were very boring.

My admiration at our moomie friends who have dealt with the loss of a miscarriage. Fertility is a fascinating and frustrating phenomena. it tool my mum 8 years to conceive the 3 of us, on Clomids and miscarriages. With my painful, irregular and sometimes non-existent periods I assumed it would be the same for me. which is why i was shocked when i fell pregnant on the pill (was on Femodene for 6 months before) after 3 weeks of married life (those 3 weeks included a period and honeymoon cystitis). Also i was still trying to figure out how nooking worked, I quickly learnt its nothing like tv :)

Oh no FF:( That would give me cabin fever and drive me crazy. how are you keeping yourself occupied? Your little boy's story is hysterical - at least his worm will get a good night's sleep :) Dont know where little boys come up with this stuff. my baby cuz calls his noonoo George and claims it crawls up the back of his throat to swallow his gum?!! :) :woohoo:

Expecting number 2:) Due February 2013.

Evening ladies

Luckily I don't have to worry about petsm hubby cannot stand them. My cats are at my moms house and are not allowed in the bedrooms.

SJJ; I thought I always had long posts. Lol. My mother says if you ask yourself if you're in labour or not then you're not in labour. You will know and you won't question yourself!

No D&C for me. Found out I was pregnant about 2weeks before my wedding.

I have that shooting pain in my privates, only this time its longer and more frequent. Plus the jelly like goo of discharge. I hope it means something.

Sorry, no personals. Using my phone

Hey all...

Well the reason I'm in bed is coz the doc said he doesn't want to stitch me 6weeks b4 it's time to go in2 labour...he rather wants me legs up and taking it easy till then. But it's driving me insane sitting doing nothing or as little as posible...

Well with my eldest I was a perfect 34C and loved my boobs, but at the end of my pregnancy I was a 38C.... after trying to breastfeed etc. and milk fever I went down to a 36C

With my son I went from a 36C to a 34D and had an amazing time breastfeeding he was so eager to get these boobs he was not even 2min old and sucked immediatly after he fed I got a chance to count his toes and look at him he was a funny little thing from day one....my boobs went back to a size 38C....

With Hailey my boobs didn't change, I only had milk a week after she was born and stayed a 38C....It was cool B)

And this time I went from a 38C up to a 42DD it's hudge and I really hope I will be able to breastfeed coz it's so nice not to get out of bed and go make bottles an hour b4 so that it's room temp by the time baby wants bottle.... :P

GML my due date is 22nd Dec, but the very first one was 25th....so i'm not sure either...and if doc sees me on the 22 nov he will tell me if he still want me to go normal or c-section...

Mmm, I got a tip from a friend of mine, she said that if your boobs start to "drip" use it to cover your nipple from now and even after baby is born use some milk to cover your nipple she said it's 20 X better than nipple cream as it's natural and makes your nipples healthy....she said the nipple cream tends to make your nipples soft and even causes bleeding inbetween feedings....(I'm taking her word as she haves 7 kids all from the ages 10 down)

Welcome again to the newbies...gr8t having you all on board.... ;)

I do agree we will still have so much more to talk about for those of you who have fb I'm Monique de klerk - my profile pic is me and my three kids... lol

And then just b4 I go gotta gotta gotta share this story.....

So in my house we have a thing where I would say " Wolf wolf hoe laat is dit?" Not to sure what this game is called in english, but then all my kids would say either it's time for lunch or time for bed or bath time....so this evening at five (everyday @ five is bath time) I called out "wolf wolf hoe laat is dit? " and the kids replied "Batie Badens tyd" so they all run off to the bathroom.... Ruby my eldest (10) baths the kids for me as I cann't bend over the bath.

5min into bath time Ruby calls me and she is as red as a tomato... I walk to the bathroom and catch Cody sitting in the bath holding up his "worm" and looking at the bottom "balls" part....so not wanting to sound weird I say "Whats wrong?"

Cody looks up to me with terror in his face pulling this sack in all directions saying "what the flippen hell is this mom?" so trying to keep my pose...I try to explain it's your ball sack....

He looks at it...looks back at me and says, mommy my balls wouldn't fit in here, and theres no zip.....

So me cracking up inside....looks at him and says...mmm well your eggs are in there and when you are older it will help you to make babies....(this was to much for him...he didn't understand) so he start screaming and crying....

My mom ran to the bathroom and said and now cody whats wrong so Cody screams out I hate eggs I don't want eggs inside me....

My mom took him bathed him and went to the room to talk to him (meanwhile Ruby and myself are cracking up in the other room dressing hailey)

My mom came to us and said...she explained to Cody that it's a special pillow that God gave him so that his little worm has a nice soft place to sleep when he is wearing undies etc.

WHAT AM I TO DO WITHOUT MY MOM!!!! lol

Anyway enjoy your evening...

FF ;)
