Any Advice - 1yr old holding his breath when upset

I do like your idea of belting out song and see his reaction! Imagine if it did work and I had to do it in the middle of a busy shopping centre sometime!!!! LOL

Gosh, this must be totally scary!

My sister apparently did this and my mom put her head under the bathroom tap - lol - seems like this was a common thing to do in the old days.

I wonder if a very ticklish child would be able to hold their breath whilst being tickled? I somehow don't think that tickling your child would work but who knows. Or if you are very conservative, break out into the loudest, happy clappiest rendition of Shoza Loza or some whacky nursery rhyme - surely this would startle your child enough to get them breathing? Yes, these idea's don't sound very normal, but if ppl can put their heads under taps, why not try these, lol.

lol JoJo well then there must be something to it! If Liam did that to me I would give him exactly the same treatment that got dished out to me. I didn't realise the manipulation started this early!!

I was a little shocked when I read Girly was not a mom yet and she had 3 weekes to go until baby was born!!! LOL

A friend of mine brother use to do this, and the mother gave him ahiding the third time and it never happend again. Im not dsaying hit your child to death, the first time you get a tiny heart attack the second time another heart atack, but your children see your response and they will know if I do this mommy will jump and do what ever I want.

Use it dont just saying.
