Just back from the Dr.
According to him, she has a bacterial infection which is being compounded by allergies and teething. Very loong explanation as to why the antibiotics clear up the snot nose only to have it start up again, all to do with us not consistently treating the allergy, when the snot nose clears we have, stupidly, been stopping the allergy treatment.
So we are treating from a number of angles and having a follow up in 2 weeks to see if there's been any improvement. If not, he is going to refer us to an ENT.

I am also planning to start her on tissue salts as well and we'll see how things go!

Hi

I don't really have a snot nose remedy but for a blocked nose just put vaseline on tope of the nose - works like a bomb :)

Hi there

For Snotty nose or flu type symptoms I use Coryzalia from Boiron and if her nose is congested I use Sinfrontal from Natura.
All homeopathic medicine.
I also use Tissue salts on a daily basis, I feel this builds the cells and help them fight the bugs a bit better.
Then I also give a wide variety of Immuun boosters.
Good luck, hope this issue clears up soon!

We go through bottles of Sterimar and my Baby Vac has been a constant companion, neither of which have given her any relief as its now been going on for 5 months and the only time the snot clears is when she's on antibiotics.

We're going to the Dr tomorrow for yet another follow up on this issue. Depending on what he says I think I'll give Tissue Salts a bash, thanks Jojo for the suggestion.

I use saline nose drops or sterimar and baby vac. I love our baby vac. It doesn't stop the runny nose but it cleans out all the gunk. I think it must feel better for them... it helps more for thick snot (sorry!!) Anyone else using it?

Hi Sharon

My LB also use to contantly look like a glazed doughnut until I starting using Tissue Salts.

I give him Ferr. Phos (number 4) and Kali. Mur (number 5) You can either pop each tab in her mouth or crush them with a little water. The thing I like so much about tissue salts is firstly they work with regular use and secondly they are completely natural and safe for anyone.
