Yes I remember you, How are those swimming nappies going? Well I officially have a Day job at the University of Stellenbosch. Doodlebums is my own business which I have to run inbetween the full time job and the other fulltime job of having two Kids aswell. When I am not working and have time at home with the family we like to go to the Heldeberg Nature reserve or to the beach for Ice Creams and a swim or even the Heldeberg Farm. There are really so many things to do with Kids out here but the time to do them is the issue. Love Bikini Beach too.

This heat has been so hectic here in Stellenbosch, we always get the same heat as Wellington so I can totally sympathise with you.

So where exactly is the Boland? I say I live in the Boland as I got tired of people looking at me strangely when I said Wellington. Either because they've never heard of it (I kid you not) or are flabbergasted that I've actually chosen to live way out in the Boondocks. Though I must admit that it has got better over the last couple of years as more and more urbanites move out to the country. At least Wouter Basson is no longer a guest speaker at our local Korporasie!

(you go me in a very chatty mood - I'm currently between projects so am enjoying some time at home)

I have 1 son Liam who is 13 months and who I had quite late and need to get cracking on the 2nd (I say this with a great deal of trepidation).

I bought some stuff (the mom of the many costumes) off your website if you remember. I know Stellenbosh/SW area very well as have family in the area. Also spend a lot of time at Bikini Beach. So what is it you do when you're not running your online shop?

I don’t think you’ll regret Bridge house. I hope your lb (name?) gets in without a problem. I actually felt very bad when Liam was at a b'party with a lot of toddlers similar in age. He didn't seem to know what to do! Boschenmeer Estate is lovely! Let me know re the Clamber club.

I found a swimming school the other day (up your end) for babies which I am very pleased about as I want Liam to learn to swim from young. We live in a kids paradise but parents worst nightmare. A large plot on the Burg river with the kind of surrounds that even tempt me to go exploring.

Jhb is not my favourite and I could never go back there but there are definite elements I miss. Building up a new social circle took time and I was very lonely intially. With more and more people moving out the country I do believe it has become easier though.

The heat has been hectic hasn't it! Always add at least 5 degrees going out this way.

Fianlly a Mommies by Months or rather area's that I can join.

I am in Somerset West but work in Stellenbosch. My LB will be 2 on 30 March and I also have a 5 year old Daughter.

Another mommy - Juno -suggested starting a group for all of us living in the Boland area - Paarl, Stel, Somerset, Wellington, Franschhoek etc.
Thought it will be nice if we can all chat together about things to do in our area, playgroups, schools and whatever we feel like

I am from Paarl, my LB will be 2 in April. I am a SAHM, so its always fun to meet and chat to new people!
