Hello ladies, so the mastitis was quite serious, so i've had to take my LG completely because of the medication prescribed. She really hasn't been to bad an di put some BIG plasters on them and put some red colouring on them and pretended they were "bleeding", just to out her off even more. Well it's worked this far and she drinks her bottle with some milk or rooibos tea at night. I also still use some of the Purity bed-time drink(babies horlicks), which she also loves and helps to lull her to sleep. She's beeen sleeping through the night which is a god send, but i'm starting to see the effects of withdrawl in her behaviour. She has become soooo moody at times and threw this MASIVE temper tantrum this morning........but it's so sad and hard for me to deal with, because i know that she feels her sense of "comfort" being her "nannie" has been taken away, so ja it's been a little daunting. I understand it's an age thing and that at this age, they push every possible boundary they can, but sjoe...you need nerves of steel.
Memo, my LG LOVEd her dummy but when she started talking(± 16 Months)her nanny started "weaning" her off it slowly but surely, until eventually she didn't want it anymore. Her nanny is a retired teacher and advised that the dummy would interfere with her developing speech, which is now excellent and I'll have you know she now talks the hind legs off a donkey , but on the other hand it would've been a great help for me to give her this during the night when she was sucking on her nannie and keeping me awake.....so ja it was 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other.
My advice to you ladies, is to try and get them to wean themselves off as oppose to taking them off because they become so tempremental an dhard to deal with.
Good luck
