thanks for your tips guys, Claudia, I am also going to try your method and see how it goes. I just don't want to take his comfort away all at once also , so will do it gradually.

Hi ladies

Sorry Jaiden, I don't have any advice. I just wanted to say WOW you ladies are an inspiration to all mommies-to-be and breast-feeding moms like me. My LG is almost 1 year old and I am so over night feeding! I am going to try your advice Claudia thanks.

Ive night weaned. This milk factory is closed between 10 and 5! James still feeds a lot during the day, but the night feeds were killing me so I stopped them.

It took a little while, but I started by everytime he woke to feed, instead of just rolling over and allowing him access to my breast I would sit up and cradle him (I cosleep), I would let him feed for a few minutes and then put him down awake and gently pat him. He did protest, but not screaming, make u feel like u were killing him protest, more moaning. After a few days I would just pick him up and cradle him, but not give him my breast, and now if he wakes I just pat him back to sleep!

Well done for going so long, I'm also aiming for 2 years, but the last few weeks have been wearing my patientce thin:)

I spoke to a mom of four kids recently and she says all her kids self weaned between 2 and 3 years and then also started sleeping through she said they pretty much went from waking like 5 times to sleeping through. I have also always said that i would go to 24 months... (at least) And am also pretty much ready to wean now (lol)
My baby is 15 months. So I do feel better hearing that it goes down to only at night by then. I know this doesn't always work but I usually try to cut him off at night. Then I put the dummy in his mouth and just also leave the boob there... just to trick him..
The lady I spoke about earlier also said that you could just take a homeopathic thing by Sister lilian to dry your milk up as this also gets the message across... milk machine is CLOSED ..for good.

Jaiden, I just have experience with weaning my LG when she was 14 months.

I gave her boob and cow's milk in bottle. Kept on giving more milk than boob and she weaned herself. Was very easy.

I know my friend struggled to wean her LG but can't remember what she did. I think she just went cold turkey and endured a few nights of crying.

Good luck!
