Isabelle is 25 months and her speech is pretty slow/behind on the best of days.

She has "cat" "dog" "uck" "Pepe" "Dad" "hiya" "bye" "uice" "out" "up" and then "caaaaaaaa" for anything else.

Impressively she can flick her fingers, you know like you would do in a restaurant to get a waiter's attention.

Sometimes she does that with both hands and goes "caaaa'caaaa" and then I know it is super important.

But she does appear to understand quite a bit, as I can speak about something and she knows what I am referring to. (not no Mommy in her vocab ...... sore point, I try not to talk about it too much)

I try not to worry, I just put a bit aside each month for speech therapy.

Struggling to juggle life, kids, work, my bottle of wine, without having a total humour failure.

I have a letter from my pdoc to say I am insane, so tread lightly with me, some days I can be a total bitch. I'm lying. Most days I am a total bitch.

I abhor smiley face icons. Just saying.

Yes I want to do a little comparing again...
When did your kids start speaking? My child does not have a dummy except at sleepy times so we can rule that out, he does babble LOADS and alot of that I understand but for the most part he screams when he wants something and i always say: 'pleeeeease"
He use to (ages ago) say peace when I would remind him but thats gone away. He says bye, and hi and hajou, ta and ta ta.
But nothing like uppi or give or anything exciting..
<sigh> Is this normal?
