The method I use in my house is called "Tripple B" Its self-invented after the hiding method failed, my son would hit me back in full force so I gave up!

I Bargain... I Beg.... I Bribe. and I don't reckon anyone uses it.
I'll do anything to make my son stop SCREAMING to my ears after a long stressful day I have at work

Justiffy I gave my son a hiding the other day and still feel bad :( DH uses the naughty corner I just give in or distract him. He is now a really terrible 2 kid and I wish sometimes I could just disappear for a few hours!

I handle it differently..
I try to accommodate Jude as much as possible, at times ofcourse he simply cant 'go outside', 'have knife', 'play with pills'
And then obviously he has a stroke, starts throwing his toys and running up and down, it's usually funny, but I try only laugh when he's not looking.
This is what I do.. I sit on the floor and shake my head and 'sorry Jude, but its dangerous/not yours/cold/' and as it excilates I just wait with my arms stretched out, until he finally comes round and falls into my arms for a 30 second sob and then I show him something else.
Sometimes (if he hasn't had much time with said object) I can quickly grab it and say "no you may not touch that!" And then quickly distract him.
