I did both the zoo and the museum recently. I agree with Julz on the zoo. It rundown and depressing but they need the support. I get the idea that they are trying.
Ethan liked the outdated little dinosaur exhibition at the museum and the stuffed lions! In front of the planetarium is a little gadget that explains how a black hole works - you throw money (any coin) and watch it spin "into oblivion". Ethan could have spent the day just doing that!!
1st Timer I am so with you on a playcafe that sells wine. In fact if it comes with really good food - it will be a bonus. usually its crappy food and no alcohol...ai!
That would make it an outing for both parent and child. This is why whenever we go to Joburg I meet all my old friends at Bambanani in Melville. That way Ethan has supervised play and I can chat to friends whilst eating really good food downed with a glass of wine!

Lol. Which spur is that memo? The one I usually go to only has kiddie TV and playstations.

I suspect I am in withdrawal. I've just started the looooong 2 week wait and am looking down the barrel of a min 2 and max 38 week dry spell!

Well I wouldn't be keen on a place with tequila and vodka shooters but there are some days I could definitely benefit from a glass of dry white with lunch!

I like the playshed too.

I am not keen on taking Dylan to play areas that sell alcohol to be honest so that is cool that they don't. Yes I drink, but I hope the parents can last a couple of hours without a drink.

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.
