3 years old - morning and night bottle!!!!

DS is almost three and also still taking a morning and night bottle. I figure as long as DD is taking a bottle morning and night he will have to take one as well. She's 16 months old now so we still have a while to go

Rags, that is what I call a great creative solution. Thanks for the inspiration.

When I wanted to take my toddler off the bottle everytime she would ask for a bottle I would say to her bottles are for babies lets have a tea party and I would fill little tea cups and she would be totally impressed.

Within a week she stopped asking for her bottle and would now ask for a tea party instead and a week later she was drinking her milk out of a mug with a straw.

Thanks Hasie! Im sure going cold turkey is the way to go.... I just need to find someone to either give the bottles too - or we must throw them away.
Im also not really up for the fighting and crying right now about not having a bottle. Maybe once my morning sickness and tiredness is over, Ill try again.

We went cold turkey. Bought him a nice cup for milk, but he also didn't want that, eventually he did take it. We "gave" all his bottles to his nanny who was expecting a baby, he packed them in a bag himself and gave it to her. So every time he asked for a bottle I reminded him that we gave them away and that they are no longer there. I kept telling him that his sister may still drink bottles cause she is a baby, but he is a big boy and doesn't need a bottle. It took about a week before he stopped asking for it. And he used it as a comfort sleep item.
