Jade is 2 1/2 and let me tell you about my morning:
Troy woke up at about 5 coughing in his sleep so Jade of course being the drama queen she is and not to be left out on anything also started coughing but so loudly that she woke Troy up. Great there goes my getting ready time out the window. All four of us in one bed by the way. Then they were watching Cbeebies in bed while I had a quick bath and hubby was in and out getting dressed, making tea, changing nappies etc and Jade was annoying Troy by smacking his head and lying on him so Dad told her to stop about 10 times, he goes into the kitchen to finish off the tea and I can hear Troy moaning so shout from the bathroom to Jade to please let her brother alone. He is normally quite happy to ly there if not bothered. Hubby walks into the room again and Jade is smacking Troy on the head hard and he starts crying. Needless to say Jade got a slap on her bottom, something hubby NEVER does unless really provoked.

Right 20 minutes it's time to get Jade dressed. She tells me no AFTER Bobinogs (a programme) so I say ok fine. Feed Troy. Right getting dress time. WW3 happens cos she is adament she wants to wear her pajamas to Stay and Play. Finally get here dressed after a wellie vs takkie arguement. Right breakfast time - no she wants a muffin. So I say sit on the bed and eat your muffin while I finish myself off. 5 minutes muffin everywhere....

Anyway, she can express herself perfectly well and does so at every opportunity and she is definitely the type of child that will look you in the eye while touching the glass or harass her brother!

I just say no you are doing it MY WAY and just get on with it. Bribery also works great. Better phone my mom quick and tell her get that "surprise" I promised Jade for putting her wellies on...

My son was an angel and then he turned 1.

He still is a sweetie but can be quite difficult.

They get frustrated as they want to communicate but can't. I still don't consider it naughty unless your child is looking you in the eye while touching the glass he shouldn't be touching.

It's tricky, but I find the way we react is how they learn to react and in the past getting really loud and angry makes him the same. I find that when I am calm (and stern) and talk nicely to him he settles down. They need to express themselves to a point.

All kids are different thought.

Apparently age 3 is far worse. Joys!!!

I would also like to know. My lg is adorable and sweet but has a will of her own. I tried changing her nappy this afternoon and I think the neighbours think I hurt my child the way she screamed. It doesn't bother me but l don't know what the people living next to us must think. Talk about a tantrum!
