Enigma, sorry that I laugh but that sounds so freaking funny!

Toddlers are amazing little creatures, it seems. In a way I am really looking forward to the cuteness of toddlerhood, but I can see my girl takes after her mommy. I have a VERY strong will and she does as well. I ALWAYS get my way and she seems to be the same. HOW am I going to handle her personality with my personality? I want her to be able to express herself. I also want us to have a great relationship. I NEED A MANUAL!

Mia was great (still is :) )

She threw her first tantrum at 1 year 10 months. Then just before age 3 it felt like everytime I opened my mouth I was shouting at her. I was pregnant at the time and just thought more than once "This poor child. She's not going to want to come out my tummy to be with such a tyrant of a mother"!

And yes Julz, you tell her no and she looks straight at you and does it anyway. Or her favourite now is to say "But why not?"

anyway, she used to be 99% Angel and 1% Monstrosity, but now it's a bit more like 92 % Angel and 8 % monster! so yes, I'm still blessed with a good and precious little girl, but let me tell you, when she's good, she's good, but when she's naughty... oh my goodness, there's just no words to describe it!!!! I blame it on her father though. The more my MIL chat, the more Mia is a female version of her daddy!

I have often wondered how any of us managed to live thru toddlerhood and have the utmost admiration for our parents ;)

And yip, they EXACTLY which buttons to push to make us crazy !!

Jems - if she wants to go to school in her PJ's, let her, it will be one of the last times. They get all embaressed, and quickly get their teachers to change them. I allow both boys to decide what they want to wear for the day (okay, I take out 2 or 3 different outfits and let them choose from those) and if Brandon wants to wear a jacket on the hottest day of summer, then he must learn. If he wants to wear shorts and a vest in the middle of winter, then so be it. I just pack the approriate clothes in his bag.

I agree totally - Cj definetely takes chances with me more than anyone else. For ex I cannot change his nappy without him putting up a fight, running away from me, but when the nanny, DH or anyone else takes him, I just hear how they laugh and giggle and all this while Cj is lying still and enjoying every minute of making mommy feel like a complete arse for complaining to everyone how difficult it is these days just to change a nappy!

Amen Sista, aint that the truth, I feel exactly the same way.

Yes they act all shy and coy and people wonder why you go on about your toddler? Luckily my mom and my MIL know the Jade - Jekyl and Hyde.
