Slmz Honeylove

Nadia, we are also having a "small little party" for Zack, going to get him a nice Barney cake & cupcakeS, than we having some cake & tea at my moms place, with family & the kiddies in the evening.

Nayeela, Well my lb goes to bed around 6.30 / 7pm every night. So I cook the night before for the next day's Ifthaar while lb is asleep. I only get home around 5pm, so I quickly fry some samoosa's and than we have that as well.

Oh my dh is sooooo spoilt :( I blame his mom coz she did everything for him, lol.... but he does help a bit now that its Ramadaan coz I get so exhausted. Today he is off, so he is making the roast chicken & veggies  Lets hope its edible.

Honeylove, you are right there is so much left overs the next day.... what I do is keep the left overs for like 2 days, than eat it the 3rd day.... I dont like eating the same thing two days in a row.

Salaam ladies

Nice to here that you all coping with the month we have.

Im unfortunately not fasting this month as my gynea said that i cant right now (even though he also said that I am carying very well and im tip top. Im due on the 10 september) I wanted to try to fast every second day or something, but dh was there when dr said this and so he very strict about me not fasting this month. :( So to be quite honest im not even really feeling the month as i should.

But it is amazing how much food is left over every night during Ramadaan. We have been cooking our usual food and some soup. We fry some samoosas or put sausage rolls in the oven, but even that we keep to a minimum coz after the soup we both filled. So last night we had left overs from the freezer and soup. We just keep dates to break our fast or water. I am keen on cut up fruit in the table as often as possible. I have been cooking at night as I am still working and dont get home in time to cook. But it has been quite nice how the routine falls together. Might try to hold it up even after the fast.

Tonight we eat as my moms (every wednesday) so Im free of cooking :)

Lucky lady Nayeela ;)

Well I get home before 5 then DH usually looks after L while I get supper ready or I just leave him to play with his toys or open the tupperware cupboard for him to unpack.. My mom also cooks for us somedays so that helps

I normally cook enough for 2 nights then just make the savouries/sweets every night..

L's bed time used to be at 7h30pm but now he goes to bed a little later as I first make Eshai salaah.

Hey Jewel and Nadia,

Good to "see" you around!

Nadia - I am the spoilt one. My DH took care of his sehri and allowed me to sleep. I always had a problem waking up. Everyday he wakes up first and then make coffee etc and then he comes wake me up.

How are you coping with the little ones during the fast?

Luckily for us, K sleeps from 5pm until 7:30pm which gives us enough time to cook, break fast, pray etc. Then she wakes up for her supper and bath.

Slms Nadia & Nayeela :)

Well I have kept all of my fasts so far... After the first few days you get into a sort of routine. Im feeling fine, just getting a bit tired at work & cant have any coffee, lol

Well tonight Im making some roast chicken, with roasted veggies. To break our fast I also make some savouries like spring rolls or samoosa's.

Hope everyone else is doing good so far...
