Fun and then not so much fun birthday.

Hi HannahsMommy she is actually doing 100%, she is happy and dancing, playing as normal. Still going to let the counsler chat to her this week-end, but in our hearts we know nothing sinister happened. Once we calmed down and thought about it logically.

I think the main trauma for her was actually having to go to the hospital and have strange people looking and prodding her little fanny. But now that its no longer sore, she is happy she went "because the Dr made me better"

Thanks so much for all your thoughs ladies, it means a lot to us. Was a rough and emotional couple days, but we're going back into routine now.

Wow this must have been really terrible for you and and your daughter to deal with. I am happy that she is okay and can understand how stressed you are. It may be wise to just have your friend chat to her.

We have all asked her when she is calm about anyone touching there and she is adamant that no-one did. She is not the type of child who would not tell us and I know for a fact not once was she alone with anyone. The children were on the jumping castle outside, been watched by at least 30 adults at all times.

I feel in my heart and head that she either sat on something sharp and didn't realise in the excitement of the party. - She also didn't have a problem going to the loo before bed.

When i phoned to chat to the doc again today, he said it also could have been that she had a itchy bite down there and in her sleep scratched herself into that state.

One of our family friends is a Childline counsler and she said she will chat to Em for us this week-end.

Today she is very happy and playing and when she wee wee's says "look it doesn't hurt, the Dr made it all better"

Please dont just overlook this. Try and find out what really happen, even if the kids were playing.

To be honest, I would look deeper into it... just to be sure... Hope she feels better soon!

I would definitely take her - in regards to putting fear into her, the doctors visit and the fact that Mom and Dad is stressed out is already a lot of stress on your LO.

A therapist might share more light on the subject. Something like this is stressful on everyone involved and the fact that you are wondering makes it even worse... a therapist might be able to help all of you! They will lead you into a direction you need to go (if you do need it...)
