I went to homeopath about 2 mths ago, he can't see anything worng with thyroid but i think it was already sorted with the neomercazole thats maybe why. Drinking normal vitamines which is difficult to find because everything you get you cant really use with overactive t.

Where are you? Cape?

With the symptoms I was really in a bad way...it was a terrible quality of life for about 4 odd months...and I didnt even think to stop and wonder why I was going through all that. Doc said I was in bad shape, but we managed to reverse it thankfully. I think the pregnancy also helped.

3 years?? Oh wow! That is so heart breaking. Are you on anything? What does your gynae say?

My gynae and endocrinologist worked together every month they'd update each other on my results (but I was obviously already pregnant).

I am going on metformin now to help with some of pcos symptoms and that may assist fertility. I am hoping so!! I am shocked to be going overactive again because I have put on so much weight now!

Strikkie I lost 20kgs in 3 months...had insomnia, heart palpitations, blurred vision, sweating...no idea something was wrong with me! By chance had a cold and doc asks if I am using stimulants!lol. Then we found out it was overactive thyroid and Graves disease.

BUT the wonderful thing about it...I was pregnant as well and had no idea! They says its almost impossible to fall pregnant with overactive thyroid.

Throughout pregnancy I was on neomurcuzole and right in my 8th month it was normal.

I went a bit low at one stage, but now high again, but no symptoms yet...so on low dose of neomurcuzole now.

How long have you been TTC? This is only our first month.

Sorry Strikkie I meant 'hyper'. I had an overactive thyroid. Now that we are TTC'ing again I went for tests and lo and behold its leaning overactive again (after being 'normal') for almost 2 years.

What are you on? I am going on neo-murcuzole and then metformin for my pcos. I havent told doc I am TTC yet, so no clomid at this stage. I first need to lose some weight, but we arent using anything at the moment, so if it happens naturally, then it happens.
