I emaille my FS on monday. (Got a bit frustrated as he did not eamil me back)
Phone his office yesterday, thought I will make an appoinmnet, and the lady on the phone said the FS have been trying to call me, but they had my old number. So he wants to see me URGENTLY! Going on tuesday.
So hope he can give me a solid plan of action! He always makes me feel better! He is so calm and explain everthing! So keeping my fingers cross that I can afford what ever he recommends!

Ika Iui is fine to do without possibly checking the tubes etc, but IVF ideally you should check the uterus. The tubes are not an issue with ivf as IVF is treatment for women who have had tubes damaged etc but it is expensive treatment and if you have adhesions etc in your uterus it could prevent you from carrying the baby or from falling pregnant.

It is brilliant that you have lost weight so it sounds as if you are on the right track, weigth loss getting the pcos under control so that you ovulate and iui for the mucus sounds perfect.

good luck.

Ika, they insert a dye trough the cervix and there should be a free flow to the tubes and then finally spilling into uterus. this indicates that the tubes are not blocked. you can actually see the dye as it travels on the x-ray monitor.while doing this they can also pick up any irregularities on the lining of the uterus.

I still came to work that morning and the test was over in about 5 -10 mins.

google the dye test and read more about it. that helped put my mind at ease and hopefully you gather some more info.

all the best hun !

Kay.

Julz,

I had a HUGE amount of blood works done last year and an internal scan that showed Insulin and PCOS. The mucus they tested the day before and on Ovulation (was on no meds that round or the one before) Did a IUI that round.
I then decidedto take some time off TTC and lost 20% of my body weight. (Stille want to lose another 10 or so) as I read that it helps with PCOS.

But I think I will ask him if I can get my tubes checked, as I was gonna go for it, but then he said we everything looks good for a iui.
