Sorry am a bit ignorant abt all this. What is the difference btwn IUI and IVF?

I recently donated eggs for someone who was struugling to conceive. They fertilised my eggs and her hubby's sperm in like a test tube and inserted embryo's into her womb/uterus. I had to take all the shots and trigger injections etc and get the op to extract the eggs. Is that IUI or IVF?

Hapi I will do 2 more IUI's before we make any other decisions. So I am hoping this will work, but I have a great feeling!

Emsmom: You medical aid do not cover fertility treatment. So up to this point the Stamigro, ecotrim, Gonal and estrofem cost me about R3 000. I know the prostegen cost us R1 300. Last time. The HCG trigger cost about R500. Then the IUI is something like R2500-R3000?

So bit expensive, but cheaper than the IVF route!

the twins are fine, its just the nausea thats making me feel a bit Blah ! - thanks for asking.

Doc Lindeque is great, he transferred me over to Doc Schulz as he doesnt do deliveries anymore. I was very sad at our last appointment.
